I am getting my car tuned for nitrous is a few weeks and want to know will a .035 gap and 10 degree timing make a huge difference in power from my .052 gap and 14 degree timing a have now off the bottle? the .035 gap and 10 degree timing was recomeneded to me by my tuner for my 100 shot.

When you say that you are getting the car tuned for nitrous are you getting a flip chip or just tuning with fuel pressure and timing only?? A drop off in timing will affect everyday performance but on the nitrous you will be safer. Did you also go 1 step colder on the plugs??

I have used a .045 gap with 100 shot and never had a problem. I don't think you need to go down to a .035.

I would get an upgraded ignition though just to be safe. I used to run an MSD 6AL with a N2O retard box. That way it would only pull timing when you were spraying it. Then you can leave you timing up for NA.

I run a Compucar wet system with 125 shot on 24s myself. I had messed with the timing quite a bit and always went with as much timing as I could without pinging. I split the best timing N/A, with on the bottle to give me the best around town performance without changing it for track use. I had to run less timing when I had stock heads and if i remember it was around 12 degrees with the 125 shot. Each car will respond diffrently so slow changes until you get it right are best. I cant remember the gap I use but again the this is a try it and see how it responds. Small changes and you should be ok. Doing these things before you get the tune will help you and the tuner get the most out of what you have.By the way I see you have 30 lb injectors, I currently run 24 lbs on my setup with H/C/I. Those injectors may be alittle big for your setup right now.
