Do you think it would be stupid to install NOS but not actually use it? Buy a used kit or something cheap and hook it all up but not use it? Just a looks factor. Maybe paint the bottle all up. Put it in the hatch and make it look all nice. I might use it at strip once or twice but that'd be it. Don't want to stress my engine.

Do you by any chance also own a Honda?

Buying a kit just for looks would be absolutly a waste of money, spend the money on somthing you'll use.

Yes, it's a stupid idea. What's the point of buying something, you wont enjoy the benifits of? Someone should throw rice at you... Seriously.

You should be from owning a Mustang.

Its not that stressful if you have a good tune on it.

But this might be what you want.

That's really stupid IMO, I hate it when people do that.

BTW, if you are going to do that, you can just buy dummy nitrous bottles to put in the trunk that are made just to sit there and do nothing but "look good".

no one mentioned anything about using the term "NOS" instead of "nitrous"... thats surprising.

Not that I agree with it, but ZEX makes a "show-only" purge kit as well.

I vote for the bottle that doubles as a bass tube.

Buying something that theoretically should be functional but not using it or using it only for aesthetics is straight up rice rocket. How many installed, but non functioning gauges do you see on the A-Pillars of your local 4 bangers?

Personally, I think it's a terrible idea, but it's your money and your car. It's up to you whether or not you want to waste both.

Mount a fire estinguisher, paint it blue and put stickers on it.

Otherwise, I think it is a very stupid idea. Why would you not want to use it. It's like marrying a playboy model and taking a vow of celebacy.

i think like the other guys said it makes no sense to spend your cash on it hook it up but never use it. if you are worried about your engine get a good tune and use a smaller shot. as for the rice? i hate ricers as much as the next guy, but if it's a working kit on a stang how could it be rice just cuz he doesn't use it?

How many miles do you have on the motor? A 50 or 75 shot normally want hurt anything. My buddy had an 85GT with 180,000 miles on it and he was shooting 100 or 125 for months. The guy he sold it to stepped it up higher and blew it.

Ha rice. I said i'd use it at the strip every once in awhile. But not everytime i went. I dont want a dummy bottle. I want to be able to actually use it. Just not very often. Mostly for show purposes. Car shows etc...
