BDASPONY. Extactly. It would be a working NOS system. Installed properly and everything. I wouldn't just rarely ever use it. Its only for car shows. etc..... I put on the M-2300-K brake kit. A $500.00 NOS system is nothing. Im not concerned about the price at all. Its just a working NOS system but rarely ever used only for car shows! I dont see how that would be rice. Maybe if it was just a bottle and a stand. BUt im doing the hole setup.

Oh yeah, you might want to check your local laws about having a Nitrous bottle hooked up.

Ha rice. I said i'd use it at the strip every once in awhile. But not everytime i went. I dont want a dummy bottle. I want to be able to actually use it. Just not very often. Mostly for show purposes. Car shows etc...

Once you use it, you will be hooked and then the crack like addiction will start.

so uh... you bought the ford racing brake kit just for looks? if youre putting everything in there why not just fill the bottle and use it?

Do you think it would be stupid to install NOS but not actually use it? Buy a used kit or something cheap and hook it all up but not use it? Just a looks factor. Maybe paint the bottle all up. Put it in the hatch and make it look all nice. I might use it at strip once or twice but that'd be it. Don't want to stress my engine.

w/o reading all the posts. it would be like putting a blower and not installing the belt

On the other hand, not running NAWZ might save the welds on the intake.

Nitrous doesnt blow up motors, stupid people do. Been running a 125 shot on my car for god knows how long. I used to spray the thing on the way to work, there is no every once in a blue moon with nitrous.

i still say rice .....if your main purpose for a nos kit is car shows thats lame.

a 100 shot is completely safe just be careful when going higher i rode ...RODE in one mustang with the bottle and i was addicted like crack rock... it was amazing to see a underpower car have some get up and go and from a dead stop just incinerate the rear tires like no tomorrow.

I think if it is dudes money and dudes car, why bash him. If he wanted to put a supercharger on one side, a single turbo on the other and not make either one functional with N20 injected @ the TB and methanol injection at the MAF and not use either, go for it. Oh and even if he wanted to put chrome 24's on his ride, why cares? Not this guy. Will I think to myself after reading the post "Man what a waste of money!" Yep. Will I type that? Nope. Definitely won't use the over used "rice" description.
I do have to agree though, nitrous can be harder to stop using than crack. Do I know this explicitely? No, cause I don't smoke teh rock.

Ha you guys really flip about this. Its pretty funny though. Im sure there are so many cars that go to car shows with NOS that have never even been used. I would use mine one in a while. Maybe out in the country with a few buddys f-ing around. But Def not a big shot of NOS and probably wouldn't use it very much. I'm gonna install a supercharger next fall. Im going with the kenne bell blowzilla. I like the easy installation and the traditional mount of the supercharger. Im only looking for around 400 hp. No more. I would still keep the NOS, but then i would NEVER use it. It would just be a show factor.

Idk i was never one for music in mustangs. Mustangs your suppose to hear the exhaust when your coming down the road. Not the thumping of your speakers. Thats when i think oh here comes a pontiac or honda. Its true too.
