In Michigan it is an offense punishable by gunshot wound to the kneecap to put the word soda in front of pop. We only refer to it as pop.

I saw this on the local news last night...I live in Indiana, and the tires on his chair were shredded! I don't think he would have made it one more mile than he did. Ever run pushing a wheel chair? They shake and wobble like crazy! He is extremely lucky. The wheel chair manufacturer should use it in their commercials to help sell their chairs. "look how durable our product is......holds up to 50MPH"

This is crazy! The driver of the truck had to be high/drunk. I don't know about this guy being the luckiest dude ever. I mean, he has muscular dystrophy and got hit by a semi in his wheelchair. I feel bad but this is funny.

I wish there was a video...

Sounds like something Frank Drebbin would do in those "Police Squad" movies.

Not necessarily. Ever sit in the cab of a semi?? It's totally possible for a person in a wheelchair to cross in front completely out of view of the driver.

That's why people should try to make eye contact or make sure the driver of a vehicle sees them before crossing in front...even if they have a walk signal
