Wow I'm a Idiot...Head Gasket!

Make a long story short. We forgot to put the thread sealer on the head bolts to keep the coolant from leaking. Those are the bolts in the middle of the head. I was wonder if i can possible take them out 1 by 1 and put the thread sealer on? I know there is a both pattern but you guys tell me. SOB grrr lol.... Well on the bright side with the blower the head gaskets aren't leaking anywhere.

IIRC I think the outer bolts (the ones you can see after valve covers go on) are the ones that intersect the water jacket and require sealer.
You can do them one at a time. I would do them in the opposite pattern that you torqued them down with.
If they are torque to yield type bolts and you obviously are running a power adder, I may buy another set and do it over again with the new ones.

Ok so do them backwards, should i just do the water jacked ones or all of them?

Like I said (in edited post), if it is a torque to yield type bolt and you have a blower, I may just buy new bolts and do them over.
I wouldn't chance reused bolts on a blown application.

You only need sealer on the bolts that intersect the water jacket (lower ones).

Outside (exhaust side) bolts get thread sealer or RTV on the threads.

If TTY, get new bolts preferrably.

I imagine you could take them out one by one, but it is your option.

Motor i'm sure it toast because i drove it without coolant for something. Looks like the stock gauge isn't reading right. So i'm just going to have fun with this motor and get a low compression forged 306. I'll just boost the hell out of it.

for what its worth i wouldnt remove them one at a time....the outters need sealnt and the inners just regular assemble lube....if thats the way you did it leave it alone.

When I put my head bolts in all I used was some motor oil on the threads, no sealer, and have had no leaks or problems with over 20k on it so far. I should have but I was also still a noob back then
