on whats tech and what is not! i understand when people are posting up pics of their car or talking about anna nicole smith, but questions that have to do with 4.6 mustang parts and working order of wustangs or their parts i would think would belong in tech? i mean, it is getting to be a very fine line.

the 4.6L tech section has been a joke for years now. little to nothing was done about the post-whoring by certain members, so all the people with the knowledge left for greener pastures.

i can see your point but to a certain extent common sense plays a big part here...like if you are going to ask a gear, exhaust or CAI which are the typical every day question, it would be wise to think that someone has already asked it before and search first then if you dont find what you are looking for then ask your question

well, i just noticed because of a thread of my own. it was about if it is safe for a blower car that is running off od a taped oil pancar to sit without being started for a week or so.

i knew that engine start up is the worst for engine life and wondered if it was the same effect on a blower or any negitive effects to the blower.

that thread is moved in here now. then i looked at others that were removed. i didnt read each one, just the titles but they were about vortech blowers, intercoolers, and other things that seemed tech related to me.

It is really up to each Mod in the section. I tend to leave most questions or opinions alone. I concentrate on the obvious that isn't supposed to be there.

Eh... Moderation is good, but I would have liked my topic (DIY FMIC) to have been moved to 4.6l tech instead of power adder...nobody ever goes in that forum - and my topic is 4.6l specific enough!

May have a few overachievers around here .

I agree, your thread should not have been moved for 2 reasons.

1. Noone can now search for the thread. Which is EXACTLY what we want people to do to see if that topic has been covered receintly.

2. That subject is definatly a concern to alot of us with power adders....wondering if the bearings will be fine after all the oil drains from them. Its not a repetitive or pointless question.

Maybe the mod that moved it will read this thread and reconsider what type threads get moved...or man up and confess, so we can bash him
As long as its not Tim or san~man or Mraburn we shouldnt be in any immediate danger of the ban stick

BennyBlown2v - Where was your thread originally posted (4.6 talk?)?

I quickly skimmed the thread and it is indeed "technical" in nature. 4.6L tech is an appropriate section for your thread IMHO. Feel free to send a friendly e-mail to your 4.6L talk/tech moderators (or admin) and they should be able to help out.

I have read lots of complaints in here so far, but few (thread move) examples. Give your moderators some guidance (help to not have to dig for the answer and eliminate guesswork) and help them understand what you're talking about in specific terms; they view tons of threads on here per day, and probably tons elsewhere on the Internet. If a thread needs moved back, so be it. It's not a big deal. We are here to help.

So you're saying that everyone here, including yourself (since you are participating) has no knowledge? Am I reading you correctly? If so, this sounds rather insulting.

Sorry for the BS guys, I'm the one moved the threads. It was a busy day with spammers yesterday and I was on a roll. Not trying to step on anybodies toes, just trying to get some mileage out of the Power Adders forum. Since these were Supercharger specific threads (especially the intercooler ones) I thought what better place for them to be addressed. I realize the Forum doesn't get a lot of activity, but IMO it's because not enough of us are using it appropriately. If power adder specific threads like these were posted in their more often, the Forum would see the traffic it deserves.

I also purposely left a redirect for everyone to see, just so there was no confusion.....but apparently this was not the case. I didn't realize this was going to cause so much chaos amongst the masses, so I've moved the threads back for your viewing pleasure.

I'm pulling the Newbie card on this one....so flame away GEARBANGER 101

why not move on to "greener pastures" yourself then?

Or stop complaining and do something to make it better. Make some good tech (if you can).

That's alright, I have it coming so I'll take my lumps, but just the same I'll be keeping an eye on who's doing the dishing.

.....Tim, san~man and Mraburn aren't the only ones with the ability to wield the all mighty ban stick.
