I know....its just the only ones I see that around here. Mainly just Tim and san~man, but I cant leave out the owner . There are others that sometimes visit, but its so rare I forgot their names.....unless you have been granted the stick power already

its a new car, so everything is grouped together. but its only V6 tech, GT500 tech, GT tech, and a talk forum.

The part about this is, that most users stay in one section, therefore tend to post in that single section. It is very hard to get people to post threads out of the section into the appropriate section.

There are sections/sub sections that are missing, and if they were opened now would have very few views since people hang in one section

Tim - linking references isn't going to get shown, it's like a small paper trail that doesn't get logged You should've noticed that about audio when it comes to just the 4.6 section, yet everyone lets them stay in their

So you're saying that everyone here, including yourself (since you are participating) has no knowledge? Am I reading you correctly? If so, this sounds rather insulting.

*sigh*

do you ever have a legitimate respsonse to critisism? it's seems you are only able to respond to critisism by trying to twist peoples words around. i've noticed the pattern.

anyway, look at that unmentionable "other" mustang forum. ya know, the one with the initials MD. look at all the members who are there now that used to be here giving expert advice. why was there such a mass exudus? because post-whoring became rampant in tech.

I've never claimed to be an expert. but having built my setup and doing my own dyno/street tuning, i would venture to guess i have more knowledge than the vast majority of members when it comes to the 2V. i've helped several members through instant messaging. i've never once turned someone away who was asking for help. now there are a few very respectable members who help out in 4.6L Tech, but the damage is done and the people who were pioneers of the 2V are gone. cry, bitch, and twist words as you may, but them is the facts. i'm here mainly for the chat. it's really the only forum where SN is worth visiting. once in a great while, i'll take a look in tech and answer questions that have not been answered or have been answered incorrectly.

btw, i was asked to give examples in the past of post-whoring. i did so. it didn't result in a long term solution.

why not move on to "greener pastures" yourself then?

Or stop complaining and do something to make it better. Make some good tech (if you can).

how many tech questions have you seen me ask here in the last 2-3 YEARS??? um, yeah. that's because i already do go to the greener pastures for tech. i pretty much just come here for chat.

if they make me a mod in Tech, i would do something to make it better. until then, it is out of my control. i'll just continue to play in the Talk section.

Meh forget the old veterans...they are stuck in their old ways and you cant change their minds. The guys just wont listen. Not to mention they are rude if you ask a question they have seen asked in the past 5 years.

Bunch of bitter old guys that have alot of experiance with their OWN setup if you ask me....they dont know everything. IMO our tech section is pretty good...but hey maybe its not as good as theirs, but atleast you dont get bashed for every thread you make. You feel comphortable posting a fairly silly question iover hear, because we are all here to learn and fortunatly this site hasnt lost focus of that.

Bashing SN and being self richeous =

Well, I was not talking about you asking questions when I said "make it better".

I was talking about you answering some... Why not share some of your extensive automotive knowledge? You do not have to be a mod to help people

And if you do not feel like answering any there is no need to criticize the people that choose to do so.

i do, i just don't repeat an answer that has already been said already in the same thread like you do. like i said, if there is a thread that has not been answered and i can answer it, i do so. i do not make small talk or repeat "do not fear the gear, go 4.10" in every gear thread when it's already been said by 50 other people.

i would also like to see that happen!! i never visit the power adder section, where one of my IC threads was moved. once the thread is moved out of the 4.6 forums it is dead to me!!

IMO i like confirmation from more than just one person. Being happy with one person's tech response is how i ended up w/ a transgo shift kit

Don't bother asking to be a mod here with your attitude about this site. If you have something to add to the site then do it as a regular member and then if your attitude changes then maybe you will get my support to be a mod.

Do you have any clue how many PM's I get with problems and how many I try to help out with.. I moderate this entire site now so I don't have the time to help out in every thread but I try to do what I can.. plus there is a lot of other guys around here that do there best to help out.. So be my guest take all your tech problems to MD or someplace else, I will spend my time helping people who appreciate the time I spend on here.

Sure we need more knowledgeable people around here, but we don't need asshats like laserred01gt ( remember him, I put the perma-ban on him a few weeks back just before his 14 day ran out.. so we will not be seeing him anymore)
