Ok, the guy I bought the car from said it had Mac headers when I bought it, but I've bought 2 different X-pipes this year and neither fit. I bought a BBK X first (before I knew there was a difference in headers, pls don't flame me lol) and then a Dr. Gas.

Every body told me go with Dr. Gas so I finally tried it, and guess what? It wasn't even close. My headers measure 18" center to center at the collectors. Anybody wanna share their measurements or give me some insight?? The Dr. Gas X is 13-14" at the header collectors...I'm bout ready to say screw it till I can by new headers too

***One more question-anybody know if I'll get harrassed when I get my emissions done if I put dumps on my car? Will I get in trouble for that?
I just have flows welded into the stock pipes with some el cheapo tips right now and I can't afford a whole cat back so I wanna get some 2 1/2" flow tubes and some Spintech Super Pro streets and dump em...any ideas on how bad that would drone also?? (I know they'll be some drone but I'm hoping it wont be as bad as the blowmasters) Thanks guys!

every h or x pipe ive ever installed had to be modified a bit to fit, ussually just had to tweak it out till it fit. Im not recommending this since I dont know other peoples experiences but ive installed 3 so far on 3 different cars and every one of them have needed that done...

Well BBK uses a solid flange design and Mac uses individual flanges. Here are my Macs

Since stock are 21 1/2" center to center those are big differences. However, don't the H-pipes have an adjustable connection at the "H"? I'm certain my BBK O/R H pipe did.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

H-pipes for short tube headers have an adjustable center. It's really not an adjustment though, so much as a place the pipe can come apart to make it more compact for shipping. Long tube h-pipes are small enough that they don't need to come apart for shipping.

yeah, those are just like my headers...and I know I'm gonna have to modify any X-pipe I buy, but I expected it to be closer than that. I'd havta spend another $200 just to get it to fit
