X-MAS List Help

Okay guys my Dad approached me about if I wanted anything for XMAS for the car and to construct a list. I usually dont ask for anything for Christmas for some reason but this year I have a car that would like stuff

My parents are already getting me a heavy-duty Northface Jacket which costs a good buck so I cant be asking for HCI or anything overlly expensive. The only idea I have right now is Gauges (Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure, and Water Temp.) Any other suggestions on good gifts. Mods of my car are in my sign.

Thanks :nice:

gauges dont make u faster..

I dont do anything to my car that doesnt make me faster... or support a go fast mod... but thats just me.

It would be nice to know a price range so we can better optimize your chirstmass loot. (calvin and hobbs ftw! :p )

i say gauges are a good choice! when you eventually get around to that HCI you're planning it's gonna be nice to get an accurate reading of what's going on under your hood. Heck, its nice to know even on a stock car...so as far as not making the car go fast, i consider it necessary to support it. just my opinion.

no, but they will be necessary down the road if he gets into forced induction, etc. thats a very narrow mindframe, if you ask me.

get headers now. or tb/maf.

I have subframes, would intake require me to get larger injectors? I was planning on just going with the Trick Flow or Ford Racing HCI Kits down the road. TB/MAF is an option

no, an intake alone would not require new injectors. but if you're gonna do the TFS kit why buy the intake now? just buy the kit down the road unless you can piece it together cheaper (used, deals, etc.).

Bigger injectors not neccessary for intake. But lets say you get an intake and you decide your gettin h/c/i later on in the future. Doesnt hurt to get some 24s, although a basically stock engine doesnt need em. Id ask for a 70mm throttle body and spacer. I have the accufab which is pricey but arguably the best quality. Im not sure how expensive a gift you feel comfortable asking for. being that your considering the h/c/i route it may be wise to consider gettin mom and dad to buy the supporting mods as gifts because h/c/i gets expensive to get everything right.

Perhapes you did not read my entire post.. or just not understand it.

If the guage becomes a supporting mod then YES they would be a great idea. But seeing how his engine is actually 100% stock.. there isn't a neccessity to spend money on gauges.. just yet.

I myself only have one gauge. And thats because after my supercharger went on I thought it neccassary to have at the minimum a boost gauge. It has helped me ONE time when I blew the vaccum hose off my By-pass valve. See how vaccum almost dissapeared on the gauge.. I was able to fix the problem immediately.

Either way, if its not needed and doesnt increase power I dont buy it.

Maroeater... and intake will not require larger injector.

a 70mm TB would be a waste as the stock intake opening is not large enough to accomendate it.

76 mm C&L MAFF... added quite a bit to mine despite stock intake. Also an Electric fan from a Taurus will free 20hp :nice:

The fan can be found for $110 (I have the link somewhere) and the C&L is $190 in all
