I own an 03 Gt, i currently have FLowmaster series 40 American Thunders and want to install an offroad X-pipe. And i was wondering if this may create a nauseating sound over time in the interior since i sometimes have long drives. I just need some opinions. Thanks

x will be pretty raspy w/ 40 series, some don't like it. If your worried about highway driving annoyance maybe consider an o/r H since those are mainly low end noise

I've had my o/r x pipe with 40s flows on my car for about 4 years now. I think it's just fine. It's not to loud at all I think. I drive my car everyday to work, and on trips up to louisville KY sometimes.

I believe my car is still to quiet with my set up.

Yep. My old co-worker removed the cats from the stock H pipe, and had 40's. The drone at 2 or 2.5k or so was simply OBSCENE.

He took off the H later and reinstalled the cats. Helped the problem a bit, but still droned.

Nahh.. Vettes, Camaros and Dodges all drone with after market
exhausts too.
The only system for the Vette that doesn't drone is Cor$a.
The Dodge crowd battle the same drone that we do.

For me and my 2003 vert with Magnaflow I have gotten somewhat used to it but I feel it spoils the sound of the exhaust. You accelerate and it sounds great and then you hit the drone zone and it's totally hummmmmmmmmmm, especially under load, like going up a hill.
And my system is mild compared to others I have heard some of which are ear splitting on long trips.
