Ok, I am finally looking at ordering my X-Pipes for the last time. Try to decide from Jegs or summit. Jegs are more expensive by $25 (Tight on money) and I have been reading that Jegs and summit are nearly identical.

Jeg's X-pipe all the way. :nice:

I'm running one on my notch, and Frankenstang has one on her Capri. They fit great, and they're WAY easier to install with their three-piece design. You hang the downpipes first, then slip the rear section onto them while wiggling it into position on the tranny crossmember hanger, and then clamp everything down. Easy as cake. Even when you go to take it off for smog inspection (to slip on a cat'ed X-pipe or stock H), it goes right back on without a hitch because it's "fitted" to your car; X- and H-pipes that are one-piece deals are a total PITA because the hangers never seem to line up right, and sometimes you have to pry the downtubes apart or push them inward to line up with the header flanges because they're welded up as "one size fits all" deals.

Pay the extra $25 and go for the Jeg's X-pipe. You will LOVE the thing, I guarantee it. :nice:

FWIW, the cat'ed UPR X-pipe I have is the biggest pile of crap I've ever invested in, as far as midpipes go. The cats are welded too far back (or was it too far forward? Can't remember... ), so they hit the tranny crossmember and necessitated that I cut a notch out of my crossmember just to make the thing actually bolt up. Then the fact that it doesn't have any hangers to it means that the center section of your exhaust (where the X-pipe's flanges join with the flowtubes) constantly sags and droops down until it scrapes after every little bump in the road. I was constantly jacking that thing back up and re-tightening it to keep it up there AT LEAST once a week. Additionally, the thing is about an inch longer than it should be, so my tailpipes stick WAY past my rear bumper when it's installed.

On the plus side, though, the lack of hangers also means it does install/uninstall very quickly when I swap it in/out for smog testing time. :D
