Lowering my 95 gt and I wanted to install a set of steeda x2 balljoints since the old ones are worn out anyways. I was gonna use a balljoint press to remove and install them. Would this be a dangerous situation where the balljoints are gonna be able to pop out while driving? I don't wanna fork $300 for new arms if I can avoid it and I don't even know of any arms that come with x2 balljoints for that fact.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

It's best to take the control arms to somebody with a press to have the new ones pressed in. The X2s are a really nice ball joint. It's perfectly safe to have the old ones pressed out, and the new ones pressed in. However, if you try and do this with a big hammer in your garage, you run the risk of distorting the metal, which can be dangerous.

Thanks Kurt, will any old bearing press do? I have a friend who has a bearing press and if its as simple as pressing down to push them out and vice versa to install I can go get it done for free.
