YAY or NAY: 225's on 8 inch rim?

Right now, I am running stock 16 x 7 1/2 wide rims, with basically new (2 month old) stock size 225 tires. I came into some 16 x 8 inch wide rims, and do not want to buy new tires just yet. What is everyone's opinion on this? Should i just go ahead and mount my tires on the new rims, or step up in size, to maybe a 245.

I know the 225's will fit, I'm just concerned about how it would look and fill out the rim.

Traction isnt really an issue with me, as I do not race the car, but money is...

Too skinny, the sidewalls will be flexed inwards. Not a good idea.

Agreed,not a good idea but doable.

Would you recommend 235's or 245's? I was told not to be an "idiot" and go for 255's, but I'm not sold on that, I think 245's will be fine...any opinions?
