I'm watching the weather channel right now, and some idiot weather weatherman is in Naples reporting. It's really comical, me and my family are wondering what benefit there is standing out there crouched over to almost his hands. What a moron. The eye is right on him.

How things hanging for you west coast guys?

It still amazes me that they tell everyone to leave their homes and evacuate...but the reporters stand out in it all day and night long.

I'm not saying people should have stayed...but....what kind of example are reporters setting for the kiddos. My son just told me he wants to be in a hurricane....

So..how are you guys doing down there ?

Hope you and your families are safe.

How's everyone doing in Texas ? Seems like the news forgot about you guys.

Crap Allen, that doesn't look like any fun at all.

You hanging in there?

I imagine it's a little tough to find a contractor right now, are you fixing things up yourself?

I hired some guys to finish the demo that can bill my insurance. They specialize in flood and fire cleanup. I'll have to hire another company to rebuild. With the refinery being flat on it's butt, I'm not going to have free time for months.. I couldn't do it myself if I wanted to for that reason.

Man that crap sucks. My uncle just moved to Texas last weekend. He's a retired veteran with the Navy. Said he had to go and help folks as much as he can.

Its amazing how these disasters pull people together.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, right ? Guess there'll be a whole lot of even stronger folks in Texas ( like y'all were ever weak ). Glad you're making it through.

I was wondering about your house,...with that much standing water, don't they have to gut it, and start from the studs?
That's the best route if you don't want serious trouble later. Have to dehumidify for weeks, if not months between gutting and rebuilding if it's bad enough.
