Help quieting the 3650

Its like driving around with a clothes dryer of marbles at my side....when you can hear it over the radio and exhaust...you know its gonna be annoying...

any of you guys had any luck quieting em down?

I think mine is partially screwed because over 6k rpm it wont even go into 3rd.

is the shifter mount pattern a 6 bolt rectangle or are the two front bolts more narrow? Check your syncros??

i know i'll prolly be more of a frustration with this cause i can't remember the name of it

but they do make a gasket that's supposed to help cut down on the noise

flush/fill trans with proper ammount of atf, get an MGW shifter, get/make a shifter gasket.

I drained the factory fill and used 3.0L (about 3.2 quarts) of DEXRON III on Tremec's recommendation of a few years ago when I installed a short-throw shifter. Absolutely no problems with excessive noise, third gear lockout, etc. since then.

The gasket some people have used is from CobraBob. I didn't know about those when I installed my shifter, and used Prematex "Right Stuff" sealant (similar if not identical to the OEM material) instead.
