"The Factor"

Ed, when you gonna bring your truck out to Sand Lake with us. We need to plan a Saturday trip for some wheeling:nice: Maybe invite Jordan and Keith as well:nice:

I'll let you take the trike out for a little spin:D

I'm up for a trip to Sand Lake. If the weather is decent how about next week?

What about Warren? He could bring the bikes.

they deleted it :D you can allways ride down there with me if your scurred of gettin your truck dirty :p
Thanks I might take ya up on that, actually I'd luv to take my truck up there though I just need to find a Offroad type air filter cover because im running a JLT intake witch consists of this huge S&B air filter with no box sitting on the top of my motor, the power with the SCT TUNE and JLT intake is incredible but im worried about the sand getting in the filter because its so fine, if it was dirt I wouldnt be as conserned but im sure they make a filter cover for it that I can get just gotta find it . Hey since your the "instigator" have you ever heard of RIZE lift kits ? There kinda costly but they look sweet and they make them in 6 , 8 or 10" I like the 8 inch . Do ya get any drive line vibration with taller lifts or anything I should be cautious about. Dont mean to change the subject but im getting ready for a trip to sand lake :D

8", Dayam Ed, your gonna be in a monster truck:D

What you need is an outter wear sleeve for your filter. Surf the net to see if you can find one for your set up, or create your own.:nice:

Ed, your truck will ride very different with an 8 inch lift. I would see if someone else you know has one and go for a ride. I think your truck is a daily driver and that can get old. I had a lifted Dodge years ago and I would not want to do it again. Besides, do you realy want to leave it outside every night because you can't fit it into the garage?

IMHO,
Patrick

LOL I figure If I cant go as fast as my Cobra did I'll just get a little more air and get a different perspective:D Ya I know they make a sleave for the knn air filter so maybe I can buy two or three and then just sew them together because this S&B filter is fricken huge :nice:

an 8" lift, the only question is Ed how tall of a step ladder are you going to need to get in that thing:D

Ryan
 Ya Ryan I was already getting my tape rule out and measuring the 8 extra inches plus 2 more inches from the 33 to 35 inch tires and that puts me at 10 inches higher. I was measuring from my steps I have on there now and its a pretty good stretch of a step more for me:jaw: lol I might need those electric fold away steps that tuck under the chassis and fold down when needed .:nice:

Thanks Patrick you've got some really good points, I heard that the 6 inch kits ride as good if not better because of the different shocks and its basicaly the same stock gemometry just lifts everything up 6 inches. As far as the 8 inch I have to do more research on that but it sure looks awsome. Of course that cornering will not be as good because its higher and will want to lean more in turns . But your wright I definately need to find one I can ride in, I've been scoping out dealers because sometimes they lift them new and a test drive would be in order. Not being able to park in my garage to would definately suck but it would be in my driveway and not in a parking lot so that helps and I would probably get a remote start to get her nice and toasty in the winter or cool in the summer with a nice alarm for it. I also considered the daily driver thing but as long as I can ruff it for 4 or 5 years its going to end up as a back up and pleasure vehicle because I made my mind up if everything goes as planned I'm going to pick up a C6 2 OR 3 years old when my trucks payed off and the vette will be in the garage. I've always wanted a vette since I was a kid and grew up around them since my family always had them. Im a ford guy but I do luv vettes so in a few years you might have another vette guy in the mix :nice:
