HO-LEEEE CRA......BAPPLES! That sucker was so long dead, I thought it was lost to eternity
And yet you managed to dig it out and dust it off!

Hey, whattheheckever happened to MustSuzi, anyway? did one of you East-Coast O-F HornDawgs scare her off?

i havent got the vert running. However i did start it up last weekend after i changed its oil. She fired right up and sang a pretty song to me. I have the cash for the mounts and the headers so i am ordering them tomorrow. WOOT!!! And to answer your question, she doesnt know how to drive manual trans, but even if she did, i wouldnt let her LoL. I spent way way way way way to much time building that car only to let it be crashed. Not saying she would crash it, but there are only two people on this earth that have driven that car since i have owned it, Me and my dad. My dad has only driven it one time, despite me asking him to on several occations. I made it to page 7 on the topless thread, its a fine read!

BTW we had a spectacular night out, tonight we played board games it was fun belive it or not, when i get to work tomorrow i will go into detail.

Yeahyeahyeah, get back to me in a few more years. I put a new clutch in the Rice-Eaticng Generic Chevy Truck not because of my pulling too much of a load in it repeatedly; but because it didn't survive Mrs StDr learning how to drive a stick shift. It was my first (and so far only) brand-new vehicle; and my thoughts at the time were, "So, it's got a stick, just means nobody will drive it but me!" Yeah, didn't happen; she drove it..... Tink drove it a couple times with me riding shotgun; but Susan is the only one but me that drove it alone.

Come to think of it; the only people to drive my Gran Torino (my first car, with warmed-up 351C and a shift-kitted FMX automatic) were my Dad -maybe 6 times- and Mrs StDr - maybe 2000 miles over how many trips?
And the person at the wheel when my F100 (with maybe 100 miles on its really warm 406) publicly "burnt down" a Z28 at a stoplight was....... you guessed it, Mrs Susan StangDreamin'
Hey - she was pulling out of a gas station (And we'd just found out she was gonna have a baby - now known around here as Cowgirl Tink) when this mean-looking chick pulled up next to her and laid down the challenge. I was riding shotgun and she gave me THAT look; was I gonna say ""NO"?

Just wait, you'll see.......

Alright, definitely too good a thread to be left alone.....

3 People have driven my car, 4 if you include when my mother tried to. The day I got it home it was bone stock. A bone stock 1970 loaded Grande, with only a respray. My mom took it around the block, my dad drove it down to the local schoolyard and did a burnout and I drove it around the neighborhood.

2 years later, with a built motor and trans, I am the only one to have ever driven it... except one time I REALLY wanted to know what it sounded like outside the car, and the Mrs. at the time had been asking to drive it. It was more of a trust thing than anything, and I wanted to show her I trusted her with something more important to me than herself (Wait, did I just say that?).

She took 2 circles around the parking lot and that was it. I'm still the only person to have driven the car with the current setup, and probably will be.

"...we'll be walkin' alo-oong...."

Sure and you two always blamed me and jessie for loosing the board pieces.. I'm soooooo remembering that next time I hear about Matt loosing pieces to games and getting the blame for it...:notnice: :nono:

Now as far as the question about Heather driving the vert... Sometimes the girl may in some really weird cases (Ask SVTCobra about the following) feel that driving the car that happens to be your baby two weeks into dating even if it is around the farm house in IA is just too much of a biiiiiiiiiigg relationship jump. Okay so I sat in the drivers seat, realized that theres no way I can even reach the clutch at the current seat adjustment, Finally started the car with SVTCobra half smirking in the corner watching me very closely and thought about it in a way that made sense to me... "He's trusting me with his baby, Would I trust him right now knowing he's never really ridden a whole lot ever to climb on any horse of mine????" So he ended up moving the car. Now once it gets the new engine well now that we've been together for a while now and he has ridden my mom's horse anyway ( Not sure putting him on Chance is a fair fight for either of them just yet). He's driven my truck, I've driven his, I think if the opportunity gets presented for me to drive it again I would be mentally retarded and then some to not drive it.

And oh btw, Andy not on the vert, but you should look into teaching Heather to drive standard... StangDreamin instilled in me a lot when I was younger that everyone should know the basics of driving a standard.
