My dads going to sell a 92GT, what color would be a better seller? and other stuff..

my dad has a 92 gt 5speed hatchback that hes going too sell but first hes going to give it a nice paint job, the car is two tone, dark green on top and silver on the bottom, What color should he paint it to get top dollor? (we were thinking a nice dark blue)

should he paint it the stock color, or paint it another, dark blue, green, black, silver? or something diffrent, rite now hes sanding it doing the hatch an door jams, so its almost ready for paint.... so what color would sell good?

also we were going to take my cowl hood off my 90 vert its 2.5" cowl hood, and put it on the car my dads painting to try an get a little more money from it, whats a good selling price $3500, $4000, $4500, $5000???

Especially knowing the engine bay is clean. If you were going to paint it a different color think of what the prospective buyer would say if they open the hood to a blue car and see green. It's a turn-off.

stock color ....stock hood....stock everything you can. then just offer to sell them the hood for extra lol

if it is really as clean as you say with a quality paint job youll get upwards of 6 easily i would think

thats what i paid for mine...69K clean as hell, just a clutch and exhaust, repainted factory color (not a bad job, but not show quality either)

I agree... definately focus on body work... I have seen ok cars with what would have been a great paint job, with wavy panels, or small dings that where not taken out b4 the car was painted.

my dads been a bodyman/painter for a long time ,so the car will be stright and have a killer paint job,, the car is really stright anyway, only acouple dings/that are now fixxed... ill post pics when its done...:nice:
