Ok I cant take it any longer im going to rebuild my stock 90 gt...

My plans are 306, H/C/I and 150 shot.

My questions are:

Whats the best period set of heads out there and also whats the best period intake out there????

Im going to go with a custom cam...

And also will 24lb injectors be enough?

Will I be able to get around 400HP with this combo if its done right?

The reason im going 306 instead of a stroker is $$$!

So any Input is welcome!

Thanks guys in advance!

well not in your question, but definitely go with the Big Shot EFI plate nitrous setup! May also help determine which intake, as they only make so many different plates...

Thanks man for the input.... Im new to n2o so is that the best system to go with? Only thing I know is that everyone tells me to go NX??

I did alot of research before going with the juice, and everthing I read pointed me toward the bis shot setup. Fuel and nitrous are fogged directly into the intake track, resulting in the safest charge. The extra fuel is shot in along with the juice!

I dont think with what little im doing to my car I could run the big shot?? This is what I got from their page..... Big Shot systems are designed for use on engines that have been extensively modified and intended primarily for competition applications

your cam grinder should definetly steer you in the right direction for the heads and intake. i would ask him, he has the knowledge that many in this website lack. by the way, whos the grinder?
you might need bigger injectors.
400rwhp should not be a problem at all, the only problem will be your stock block(kaboom) if your not perfectly tuned when you hit the button.

Camshaft Innavations I think is the name of the place, I talked to him a while back and he seemed like a cool guy so I figured I would give him my business!

And where will I need to take it to get it tuned right before I do hit the button?

What would be the best stroker to go with?? 347?

one of the more knowledgeable members would probably be best at this answer, BUT, if i remember correctly (and i do have a poor memory:D ) i hear people have problems with the 347 due to oil consumption () but maybe thats just hearsay. If its true get a 331, if its not, then 347, more displacement never hurts. Esp when they are about the same price.

Get the CNC ported twisted wedge heads, a track heat intake manifold and a custom cam...Should make that little 302 scream pretty good. If you are just staying N/A, those 24's should be enough...but if you add a dry shot of nitrous or any forced induction, you'll likely require bigger injectors. If you go with a wet shot, however, you should be able to keep em.

This combo should be able to get you at least 300 rwhp n/a, and if you go with a wet shot of nitrous you could safely go to 450whp without breaking anything engine wise.

Oh, and IMO, theres really not alot of need to go with a stroker on a stock block 306. You can EASILY make enough power with a decent shot of nitrous to split the stock block with a 306, so don't waste your time on new rods and crank...just get pistons/rings/bearings etc and you should be good to go.

Oh...and when you figure out the total cost for the project...add at least 30% to it, and that's what it will really end up costing you :P

Thanks alot man for the info, really helpful! Id be happy with 450hp! I just wanna have enough HP to keep up with those H/C LS1's:D
