I also drive on a dealer tag. but haven't been hassled for it. My used car manager on the other hand got a ticket for misuse of dealer tag. That's the hazard of driving a demo I guess.

you are exactly right. i got popped about a year ago for 70 in a 50, in actuality i was rollin passed 140 (4th gear pegged with 2 gears to go) when i passed a state trooper that was in the process of stopping another person. she caught up to me about 3 miles down the road and gave me a ticket for 70 in a 50. to this day im not mad at her for doing her job. im more mad because she used somebody elses speed for my ticket. in the end i still gout off with just paying the fine and a non moving violation.

my friends and i simply refer to speeding tickets as "the speed tax" you wanna go fast you gotta pay the tax.

this must be your first ticket? ive had 4 in my day which isnt very long lol. but yes you will be paying for speeding tickets all your life pretty much, get used to it!! they are just doing their job, think of it this way: good business man, stays at the office constantly to see that a good job is being done, thats the "*******" cop you are referring to, the lazy cops are the ones that you have to watch out for!! but there are some mixed in the boat that are "*******s" for real, the whole serve to the people thing has died to them and they just want to make life miserable for certain people, in this case this guy wasnt one of those, but there will be one one of these days pull you over who is, believe me!!

did i say i was doing anything in traffic... i didnt think so. 2 lane country "race tracks" are not interstates around here.

typically the "speed tax" is left for the 10-15 over the speed limit, not the top speed runs.

Dude, stop going more than 10 over. Usually you wont get pulled over unless you're doing 10 over. Also you aren't going to get where you're going much faster anyway unless you are going pretty far, like over a couple hundred miles, and if you get pulled over, then the time wasted getting your ticker shoots to hell any chance you had at getting to your destination quicker anyway.

yeah ive been pulled over twice. pretty good, ive had my car 2 years (4th of july was our anniversary ) and put 18k miles on it. im surprised i haven't been pulled more. im the most responsible of all my friends though... i just hate it when cops hassle me for speeding when it wasn't me, it was my friends in the honda's over there that he didn't even think could speed.

dont go over 10 over when your alone, if you see blue berries and cherries, tell the truth 100 percent (ish?), say sir between every word, keys on dash, dome light on, reg and license ready. some people get into asking if they can work it off to show you want to do the right thing, some ask to see the radar, ect. i dont think its worth it, seems like they could turn it around and rape you if you give them a shot like that.

I speed, been caught several times, gotten several tickets. But everytime that I have been pulled over and gotten a ticket I deserved the ticket that I was written. In fact several times I probably deserved a worse ticket.

The big difference between me and you is that I am not going to bitch, complain and blame the officer for doing his job. I will accept my ticket and either pay it, fight it or take the traffic school. Its called personal responsibility. GET SOME.

I speed too, but I am smart about it. And if you get pulled over, never hassle the cop, but dont admit to anything. 5th amendment says, you do not have to be a witness for yourself. Your rights only protect you until they are given up, then they cant protect you anymore. When you get pulled over just say, hello officer, whyd you pull me over, and if he asks if you know why then say no and ask. Dont be rude, but know your rights. Then you can fight the ticket later on in court.

lol you gonna start in the stats now? hah. Guess what buddy, well i took a breathilzer and obviously passed. I'm not mad that i got the ticket or for doing his job. But if you were in my situation you would have sped yourself. There wasn't a car on the road. Within ****ing miles too. So for him not to be a little leanant after me passing the breathilzer makes him gay. The cops in my town are much cooler about it. The only reason i got a ticket is because he was one of the Sherf dick heads!

And for the endangering others.... i was doing 70. If you can't control your car at 70 you shouldn't be driving first of all. And second danger who? Nobody else was on the f-ing road at 4 in the morning. AND i mean NOBODY! Why do you think i sped up to 70. Why not? **** why go 55. To be honest i was doing 85 for the most part but slowed down for the bend which he was coming around haha. Either way no i'm not bitching i'm simple saying that for THAT situation, he could been a nice guy and said hey no problem, instead of being a dick head about it. I actually agree with every reason you give as to why he could have let you off. I still don't see how that warrants coming on-line and calling the guy "the biggest dick in the world". That is where the "bitching" part comes in because at the end of the day, all that really matters is that you were speeding. I've been let off a few times and other times I haven't been so lucky. Glad I show some respect when I am the one in the wrong. That and I rarely do things wrong to warrent being pulled over. I drove by easily 15 cops last night in the first night out with the 5.0, its loud, tinted windows, no front plate etc... and never got nabbed once!
