Help a 5.0 guy --4.6 Q's

Well.. After losing my 5.0 going out and buying a 03 350Z (touring) i relized how much i miss my stang. So i went out and got a 03 Roush StageII. Ive been reading over the newbie 4.6 Posts for hrs now. Ive got Jus a few questions... First, Gears what im really wondering is what is the top speed in 4th gear with... 3.73, 3.90, 4.10. With stock tire size. My old stang i was trapping the 1/4 at 110mph in 4th and was damn close to redline. That was 3.73's. Next question if anyone knows about Roush suspensions im curious if anyone knows a slalom mpg or skip pad G for it compared to a stock GT. Next question. Roush CAI vs others??? Should i leave it or is there better?? Next question (which i did not even research) but is it true to put headers on the car you have to drop K member?? Thats all i can think of right now...

with 3.73 in 4th gear, in my 4.6 i hit 105 mph close to redline, my between 103-105 somewhere around there.

leave the stock air intake and yes unless you try to "flat rate it" you have to drop the K, makes the job much easier

It's not necessary to drop the kmember, but it makes it so much easier. longtube install


You won't gain much with a CAI. Change it if you want, but I'd leave it alone.


photobucket is being a bitch right now, so I can upload the graphs, but 4th with 3.73 is right around 120, and with 4.10s its 110.

Yea im torn now between 3.73 and 3.90... I know i want to make this car as fast as my old car if not faster ... and i dont want to shift into 5th going down the track...
