Frankenstang and I FINALLY got around to cleaning cars and taking pics. Unfortunately, this was BEFORE I got off my lazy bum and decided to finally paint the trim on the notch and such ... 'cause I'm lame like that. :notnice:

Black centercaps are just kind of a for-now thing. They don't look bad, IMO, but I'm still planning on making the wheels all-black with polished lips, eventually ... again, whenever I get off my lazy arse and actually do it. :D

Frankenstang's Capri has got the lopsided hood gap goin' on since the alignment, because those stupid caster-camber plates jack the hood up on the passenger side (one is adjusted all the way back, the other is jacked all the way forward), but I tried to make it as unnoticable as possible in the shots.

So, umm ... yayyy! And stuff. Or something. Um, yeah. :nice:

And also, just for defecations and chortles, I present ... the HARBL (my DD)!

Yup. :nice:

Both are kinda rough-finished at the moment because the Capri still needs another coat (and an actual Capri front end ;) ), and the notch ... well, I did that one a couple o' years ago before I really had the how-to-paint-with-Rustoleum thing figured out (I didn't thin the paint  ), so I'll likely wind up re-doing it completely at some point, perhaps around Spring '08. Also thinking about going with a two-tone (silver on top, black lower half) paint scheme when I do...

I just noticed the difference in tailpipes, with 'em side-by-side. The Dynomax tails (I kept 'em from my Super Turbo cat-back, but swapped out the muffs for Pypes Violators) on my notch seem to have an upward sweep to 'em, while the Flowmasters on Frankie's Capri tend to go straight out (and they're about 2" shorter ... and bent/welded all wrong from the factory  ). I dunno if this is the norm for these cat-backs, or if it's just the way they're set up at the moment. FWIW, we have the exact same mid-pipes (Jeg's off-road X).

same rims?

Yup. Same rims, same tires. :nice: Just haven't gotten 'round to painting the actual rims, themselves, as of yet ... and only one of them looks to really NEED painting, but I'd rather have 'em match. Still trying to decide whether I should stick with OEM silver, or go black with a polished lip on 'em. I need to MS Paint a pic or two of my car to see how they'd look with the silver-top/black-lower paint scheme and which would look best with what.

One of these days, I reeeeeeeally need to put together the funds for a set of tires. Those Falkens look nice and handle pretty well, but they're slicker than grease when it comes to giving 'em anything more than 2/3 throttle (although the 4.10's kinda make the issue a bit worse). It's weird that they usually don't make any noise at all when you spin 'em. Had me a bit freaked out the first few times I tried to take off with 'em, because my RPM's were going up fast but I wasn't moving forward at the same rate; until I verified that they were actually just spinning and the rear would slip to one side or the other at times, I was starting to think that my clutch was slipping.
