What size fuel pump should I go with? I was looking at 155 or 190lph.
I'd go all the way up to a 255lph ... a 190 will work for most NA combos
but you can have a bit of reserve for just a few bux more.
Basically, I have 300bux to spend should I go for 24lbs and a 155lph, adjustable fpr and possibly a cobra maf since it is cal'ed for 24lb...
There is no difference between the GT & Cobra meter as they are the
exact same meter.
Also neither of those meters are caled for ANY size injector as Ford does
not do that kind of thing. I won't get into a long drawn out explanation
about this as we've covered it many times before but I just wanted to
give you a heads up about it.
or
Go ahead and get my car tuned for the cam and set-up I have now and buy the fuel upgrades piece by piece, the only down fall is it will cost me 50bux to get the chip re-cal'ed for the injectors.
The only reason I want to get it tuned now is the injector timing with the tfs1 cam, is it normal for my gas mileage to drop 100miles a tank just with the cam swap? I went from 300miles a tank to barely 200miles a tank? What timing should I be running with this cam?
I don't really fell the difference I thought I would with the head and cam swap.
I can't say for certain but I suspect you may have something like a vacuum
leak or other issues from the h/c/i project.
Also ... since you now make more power ... driving around town will use
more gas. Now out on the open road ... You should not notice that much
difference.
As for inj timing ... the only way I know to optimize it is to gather data for
a baseline. Then based upon that baseline data ... you make changes ... and
may have to repeat the process several times.
