Well I have done lots of investing and Ford is one JUNK stock I will never buy, unless I want to lose money lol.

For the past few years ford has been losing and laying people off.
At their stock is rated as JUNK,,,it was around $7 a share 2 months ago,,2 days ago it was around $6.50 and thursday it was $6.00 a share...

I feel there will not be a ford moter company in the next 5 years....
Yes they might be bought by another company and they will most likely
build all their cars in China or even Mexico.......
Yea Yea Yea you will have many that will say ford will be with us forever lol
Show you they don't anything about when a company go bust, like ford.

Now if you people want a Stang GT you will get your last chance when they
introduce their newest stang in 2010.

I am not saying we will lose our stang gts,but they will not be built here.
They will make them in mexico, they will not have to pay pensions or give benefits to the people that will make them....
To me it only makes smart sense to do it this way,but as a Stang Gt owner,I will buy my last Stang GT or even my last Challenger in the next year or 2 because both ford and Dodge will not be here much longer......

Ford has survived 2 world wars and the great depresion, they will survive toyota as well. It forced them to be a leaner meaner company, but thats a good thing. Ford was be crushed by it's own weight and sucess. They didn't need jag, AM or LR, it was just extravagance. They do need and benifit from mazda however. The UAW reconises how bad things are and are working with ford and the others. Free this and free that will forever be changed for the ford employee's, but they may keep thier jobs. My dad is a ford retiree and here in the cleveland area all 3 american companies are repesented. Out of the 3 local ford plants, we've only lost 1 and the Brookpark foundry. Alan is bringing ford back an inch at a time, but he is. Once volvo is sold this summer, ford can soley consentrate on ford, linclon/mercury and thier products. With hits like the fusion, edge and mustang, ford will be fine, it's all about product, product, product. Build what people need and want and most of all, excites them, like the retro stang did for me. I went bonkers over the new stang and fusion, now there's one of each in my driveway. The only thing better would be to have an svt fusion to keep the stang company. My next purchance will be another ford truck, ford trucks stand on thier own merits. Ford will be around long after you and I are gone, pouting won't fix things, but buying ford will, so have you driven a ford lately?

I also wouldn't be surprised, if they end up being built in Canada.

As both the 09 Challenger, and the upcoming 2010 Camaro are going to built in Brampton, Ontario to save both production, and manufacturing costs.

At any rate, I'd much rather have them built in Canada, than in Mexico or China :canada:

+10 :nice:

I'd rather have them built in Mexico than China.

Imagine getting lead poisoning from the shifter.

LOL, Mountain Dew just spewed out of my nose. Thank you!

Amen. That is the truth!

I don't think you follow the stock market.....
Ford had been rated as junk for a few years now,,,but the stock is getting worst
and not better......I feel BEFORE 2015 ford will be out of business or will be sold to the chinese. The chinese has lots of our money to spend here in buying up companys dirt cheap just like ford motor....

It would be nice to have the Stang gt built in Canada since its only a matter of time, and with congress passing the 35mpg bill the Stang Gts will be gone, but they will still make a V6.

I am looking to buy a 2010 Stang Gt when they come out in 2009 sometime.
But I feel this will be the last american generation of the stang to be built here un the states.
Yes you will have many that think ford will be around for many years to come.
Little do they know Ford and Dodge might not see another 10 years from now.
I see dodge going out of business within 4-5 years just by looking at what the company is doing.............

It may be junk stock now but when it does rise later it will be worth mo money then u'll be wishing u had some. My father bought me some Ford many yrs ago like 1 or 2 shares and it grew to lets just say more than a few shares, its still worth more now then when he got it. Buy low sell high. :)

Problem is
when a company is going out of business why would you buy stock....
Look at fords problems.
Retirement,healthcare among many other things....
Maybe its a great idea if they go BK7 and they can reorganize and will not have to
pay any retired peoples pensions......
I can name many big company have gone out of business and I am sure ford just will be another one,,,,,,,,unless our friends the Chinese buys them out....It will not surpise me but why would they want to buy the company since ford is not doing well....
Only car I would buy from ford is the Mustang GT or Shelby.
I don't own any shares of Ford but I have friends that bought Rambus years ago at $400 a share,,,now its worth less then $10.I even told them they were idiolts and anyone with a half of brain will stay away from Ford,Dodge and maybe GM

First of all, I'm not here to start a thread war or to argue. But after reading over your posts. I totally disagree with your prediction of Ford's demise.

Although Ford stocks aren't doing so well right now. The same also applies with both Chrysler LLC and GM, even though GM appears to be in somewhat better shape at the moment.

And yes, I'm sure that you can name 100's of companies that have gone out of business.

However your missing some very important factors. Ford continues to do very well in their global markets, such as Europe, S. America, and Australia. They also own a controlling interest in Mazda, who's also doing very well for Ford.

In addition, they've recently sold off both Jaguar & Land Rover, and are also in the process of selling Volvo this upcoming summer.

It's also just as Ranger04 previously mentioned. Ford has survived far worse, such as 2 major world wars, along with the great depression. And yet has remained in business, for over 100 years.

And most of all, I totally agree with Ranger04's statement. In which Alan Mullally is indeed bringing Ford back, one inch at a time.

That being said. there's far more reason to be optimistic, rather than play into some premature doom & gloom nonsense, about Ford going out of business. :flag:

Why do you think Mercedes gave DaimlerChrysler away for free?????
The people that bought DaimlerChrysler don't know a freaking thing with all the delays that they are having.
The people in hedge funds should not be builting cars(sorry about my spelling I am on my 6th corona lol}
You really think the Goverment will save these failing companys?
if you do,you must be more drunk then I am lol....
Yeaaaaaa why don't we save all the other companys that should not be in business.
Thats why DaimlerChrysler is cutting back on 50% of their models and they are also cutting 40% of their dealers.Sounds like they will not be around much longer.
Get your challengers while they are still making cars lol...........

Yep,,,,,,, Just like Regan gave 3 million illegals a free ride in the 80s.
You really think we will let another 20-30 million illegals in again,,,I really don't think so.
Same thing with Chrysler ,you will never see that happen again.
Many people think we should help out all these companys.I feel screw them and maybe the employees should have got a better education without having to worry about their jobs.
People always thought if you could get into a auto company, you would have been set for life.......Well maybe in the 50s and 60s but now is a different story........
