how to tell if my lx used to a gt?

i was changing my oil, and noticed im leaking coolant by the bottom of my water pump, i must of upset the seal when i installed my frpp a/c delete anyways. i was underneath and i notice a hanging plug tucked away branching off from my headlight one, same on the otherside, this i guess is wear the fog light would be plugged into. Also i have sport seating, my car is an 89 which ive read was only offered in gt's. is there anyway i can find out?

im pretty sure lx's have the wire for foglites, ford used the same harness's for gt's and lx's

Take it to a stealership and have them run your vin number.

That's my bet. Just like the power window/lock harness are on all Mustangs.

i was just under my car last night changing to some ULTRACLEARs (which are awesome btw) and saw the foglight plug hanging there. What do you guys do to keep these things from hanging like that? anyone cut em? could you even use them to plug foglights in if you switched to a different bumper? sorry, a little off-the-point

yup, the wiring harness is all the same no matter what options the car had. you should have a plug for daytime running light module that only the canadian cars used too.

89 LXs could have the "GT Seats" as part of the LX Sport Package. My hatch was optioned this way.
