So I took the stang to the track for opening weekend to see if my little winter mods improved my 1/4 time and to scratch my need for speed...Mostly to scratch my need for speed.
It started out a great day my second pass was my best time to date at 12.998 at 108. I can finally say my stang gets in to the 12's! And yes I know how close I was to not being able to say that, but I consider that to be VERY good for ALL motor on street tires (not DR's).
But of course all good things must come to an end. My next pass I was heating up my tires before I stage and as I was doing a burn out, my RPM's started to fall at a consistent smooth rate (as if I had too much brake & not enough gas) and the car stalled. not sure what happened I just thought the car was being retarted, I start it back up, put it in second gear, give it gas, and dropped the clutch like it was going out style, and than BANG!

Yup snapped an axel and it took a LOT of force to get that little piece out of my Eaton LSD which in the end couldnt be saved. We figured when my car stalled the first time my axel was seized inside the LSD and then I finished it by trying to do a burnout again. But I don't care it could of been something much more serious. But best of all I DIPPED IN TO THE 12's
oh ya 31 spline axels and a detroit truetrac locker in the mail
