Is there a reason behind only making ss front lines? Here is a lnik to the russel lines a sub company of edelbrock Russell 693210 - Russell Street Legal Braided Brake Lines - JEGS What do you think of these
Check out the Maximum Motorsport website about ss brake lines. There is useful info there concerning brake lines for different years of Mustangs. I got a set from them, and the installation was easy, no drama. I don't know about the Russell kit, but I would be a little concerned about those lines fitting perfectly, without ANY hassle. Maybe a call to Russell would help.
I don't know why most ss brake line kits only come with the front pair, but I'm sure you know that most of a car's braking takes place on the front brakes.

Goodrige lines cant hold a flame to Maximum Motorports brake lines. They are made by Stop Tech to MM's spec's. Those are the best SS brake lines you can get. I had them on my 2000 GT, and they were AWESOME.
MM is developing rear lines, but they have been saying that for awhile now.
On a side note, I bought some Goodridge lines when I did my break upgrade.. and both sides were deffective- they wouldnt seal at the hard line. They wanted me to jump through hoops to get another set, so I threw them in the trash.
I know people run the Goodriges with good luck, but the quality doesn't campare to the MM lines...
Yeah, I wish I knew more about the rear brake lines. Let us know if you find out anything about them.

i have the ss lines from American Muscle and they installed great and i have no complaints about them yet and they've been on my car for about a year.

I got the Russell's no problems for 2 years huge improvement over stock, make sure you get new crush washers. I think my Russell's came with em.

I've got a set of Mach1 front and rear brakes on the way, and I believe the rear set comes with a set of stainless lines. Anything will be a massive improvement over stock. Just out of curiousity, how much would install run me in labor on a full brake(front and rear) install? I've never bled the brakes on a car, just on my bikes, so I'm a little hesitant.

where are you located???? i'll install everything for you for only $500seriously, i did the cobra upgrade with SS lines in my driveway using hand tools in under an hour. i hope someone isnt really gonna charge $600 to install the brakes
There isn't a whole lot of pressure to the rear brakes. If you open a bleeder screw and pump the pedal, you'll barely get a trickle out of the rear calipers. Our cars are so tail-light that it doesn't take much to slow the rear wheels down.
Rear lines prob wouldn't do much. Even under full braking the pressure is prob 1/3 to 1/4 that of the front brakes.
If you buy the 13" upgrade brakes from BuyFordracing.com, they come with SS lines
The Mach 1 kit is $350PS. I installed my Mach 1 brakes in my driveway by myself in two hours. It was easy as hell. I even bled the brakes alone without speed bleeders. It's not that hard. Make sure you also bleed the REAR bleeder screw on the MC.
I did it one person with the regular bleeders. It's not hard. The fluid doesn't suck back in between pumps like everyone thinks. I just put the bleed line into a bottle filled with half fluid, cracked the screw, got in the car and pumped the pedal. The air comes out and nothing really gets drawn back in. You just gotta check the MC level as well.
