Well ladies and gents - its that time again! This Thursday, the Reigning (fixt :nice:) superbowl champs open up preseason at Detriot. This will be an interesting year. Did Eli FINALLY break out of his shell? Will he be a consistant QB? Will the Pats continue to dominate the NFL? These questions and more will be answered...

Let all the NFL team bashing begin!!

Great to see this new thread to kick off the NFL 2008 season!

Let me start by saying the Cowboys suck. Hard.

Jason Campbell is now being compared to the best QB's ever by King and Reeves. Amazing. Redskins. Kings of the pre-season. They suck too.

Well looks like Shawn Andrews is going to play football after all. He'll be trying to protect that injured old bastid, Mc Nabb, who will continue help the Eagles remain shutout of a Superbowl victory for all of eternity. Yes, the Eagles suck too.

Go Bengals!!!! WOOT WOOT WOOT!

May they have fixed some of their offensive line and defensive issues!

Palmer should still have star quality....Chad Johnson's a little beotch but still a helluva player. TJ rocks! We got Utech on TE which should help. Rudi Johnson is healthy again and Kenny Watson is one helluva sprinting RB. Offensive stars o' plenty, but that's been the case the past few years.

May the Bengals have their **** together this year!

"Anything you can do, I can do better..."

Saints look to be pretty decent. Deuce is back and Shockey ought to give some help on the offense. The D better step up. They were pretty awful last season.

I don't even want to talk about the Dolphins...I guess I should wait and see what happens but so far a "Big Tuna" shouldn't swim with the Dolphins. My all time fav player is gone and now they send Jason Taylor away.

Ahh thats right you guys got Shockey now.. :( Strange seeing him on another team. I was always a Shockey fan and i'd like to see him do well for the Saints :nice:

Here's the question: Will Buffalo make the playoffs for the first time in the new millennium???
Eh - I don't know WHAT to think.
The defense got some serious upgrades PROVIDED Marcus Stroud can hold up for the entire year, Leodis McKelvin turns into a good corner, and Kawika Mitchell gels with his new team.
The offense could be GREAT, but only if Trent Edwards steps up BIG TIME this year or JP takes over the starting role and does wonderous things. I don't know WHAT to think about the offense.
I HOPE FOR a 10-6 record, but it could be a lofty goal.

oh wait, reigning!?!?!?! that makes sense!

meh, i dont care much for pro football, but since i live right outside dallas, i guess i might start watchin some cowboy games.

and, i'm sure by the end of the year, i'll find a team that everyone is becoming band wagon fans of to be against at the end! :)


oh, and only 25 more days till college football season! WOOT! :nice:

WOOT bout time now i finally get to spend my 4 months a year back on stangnet lol i spend so much time on here during football season that i am burnt out by the end of the season.


oh and ummmmmmmmmmm :scratch: go favre?

Shockey is still a good TE. He has issues though. Runs wrong routes causing INTs, dropped too many balls, catches a pass and immediatly falls to the ground (of late). PLUS he's coming off a bad injury. I really hope he does well because he really plays his ass off.

Shockey is one of the best blocking TEs in the league haveing worked several years under Mike Pope. I'm sure in Payton's offense he'll see a few more passes come his way.

We'll see. I hope he does well. There's a few other teams i'd like to see do well this year. :)

Football season around the corner. Can't wait :banana:

Browns first preseason game is Thursday night. :nice: I will be glued to my tv :D
They finally shaped up to be a team to look out for this season. Gained another WR threat in Stallworth :banana:, picked up a few defense of players to help out the D. As long as there secondary hangs in there they should be close to a top 5 team.


LETS GO BROWNS!

Forgot to mention I will be going to the 3 games this year :banana:
Monday night against the G-man
Thursday night againts Broncos
and then afternoon game against Texans


I did have two Sunday night tickets against the Steelers that my buddy and I were going to go to but sold them for some Ohio State tickets since I never been to The ’Shoe :nice:
