I just wanted to mention (this will be my last post on this for this week, i promise) but last year Cutler was in his 1st full year as a starter, playing with undiagnosed diabetes (lost 20-30lbs) behind an injury depleted OL and missing Javon Walker for most the year.
Given all that, I think we can all agree he exceeding expectations for a 2nd year player.
Ok....on to week 2!![]()
I don't know if he's exceeding expectations or not but he is doing excellent as a 2nd year QB. Maybe he will be good enough to make the kind of impact that will turn Denver around from a 7-9 season to say...10-6 this year. That would be outstanding. Most QB's we consider to be among the best have taken years to develop. Cutler is ahead of the curve.
You may be in a similar situation to what I went through. When the Giants got Eli, he was the best QB the Giants have had since Simms. Cutler is the best QB Denver has had since Elway. Eli won the Superbowl MVP in his 3rd full season. I won't try and place him in the same class as his brother or Brady though.
Relax and enjoy what could become a long run with a fine QB. Very few teams have good QB's. And they do make a BIG difference in wins and losses.

Fixed!
