Losing Brady was a tough break for you guys. Hopefully he can come back 100%.

I hope so.. I changed my avatar a minute ago because since I have used that avatar they have had horrible luck.. I put that one up originally the week before the afc title game against indy 2 seasons ago.

So now until brady comes back I will have the brady memorial up...

You don't really think there are NFL teams out there that would take Big Ben, McNabb, and Rivers over Cutler, do you?

Umm, yeah. That's a no-brainer.

Lets see, Roth has won a superbowl, McNabb has been to one so Id deff take those two over him

Exactly what I was going to say. Plus, Philip Rivers has been to the AFC Championship and almost won with just 1 knee (had surgery on his other the week before) without LT or Gates.

Ranking a QB, or any player for that matter, on Super Bowl appearances is a pretty ass backwards way of doing things. Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl but Marino did not, so by that logic Dilfer > Marino and I don't think any sane person would agree with that.

It just doesn't make sense to put the performance of 10 other players solely in the QB's lap.

And lets not forget that Big Ben was abysmal in the SB. He was 9/21 for 123 yards, no TDs and 2 picks. Their lone touchdown pass was thrown by a wide receiver.

Umm, yeah. That's a no-brainer.

For you it might be, but I seriously doubt more than a couple teams would take those guys over Cutler.

It's not just the Superbowl alone, it's the experience of being in the big game (or any big game for that matter). Cutler hasn't even been in the playoffs, so his big-game experience is basically nothing compared to the others.

Ben is a great QB, McNabb is just about as good when he's healthy. Cutler might be really good after all, but he's got to prove it over a longer period of time.

A Colts fan would say that.

Exactly. It was apparently an intern's laptop (from what I heard) and was not used for anything associated with the game. Like you said, it was removed immediately.

I hate Notre Dame and hope they suck forever, but give me a break if you're trying to say he's cheating because New England got caught with the cameras.

Based on DarkShadow's logic, since Belichick got busted.. that must mean that Parcell's and Tom Coughlin cheat too. After all, they were all on the same coaching staff under Parcell's and learned their tricks of the trade from Parcells. Do I think Tom Coughlin does anything like that? Nope, not one bit. Has Parcells? Of course, he even admitted it.

Wow you sure are twisting everything you can out of my post huh?

So how does what I said have anything to do with the other guys you mention.

All I was saying is Weis got caught doing something he shouldnt have been doing, and ironically he was a coach under Belichick who also got caught doing something he shouldnt have been.

I never implied that Parcells trained all his guys to cheat, I implied Belichick taught all HIS guys to cheat. I thought it was easy to follow, but apparently not for a pats fan.

Cutler over Ben, wow kid you must be on crack. If Cutler has a good game next week he will be saying he's better than Brady.

No kidding. :rlaugh:

I was just expanding on your little piece of "logic" that if he coached under Belichick then he must "cheat". Traced it to it's roots (Parcells), then proved that just because you coach under somebody and know their schemes/ideas it doesn't mean you'll follow in the same manner (Weis, Coughlin). Maybe Colts fans can't comprehend that much.

Its a division rival game and the dolphins have ALWAYS given the patriots trouble no matter how bad the dolphins are. Miami's record has nothing to do w/ how hard they always play the patriots.

Thank you. I am a dolphins fan (sorry) and I'm sick of hearing everyone say that they only won because Brady is hurt. Miami has always given NE a run for their money, even in their worst seasons. The year that Miami went 4-12, one of their 4 wins was a blow-out victory over NE late in the year (I believe it was 2004).

The fact is, the Dolphins are getting better. They have talent, but it's a rebuilding stage and they aren't all on the same page yet. And I'll say it...flame all you want...If Brady weren't hurt, the Dolphins still would have won. One player would not have made up a 25-point difference against a rival team. The dolphins used some new ideas on offense that confused the hell out of NE. They looked impressive.

Also, the fact that Rodney Harrison accused Ricky Williams of playing dirty is laughable...

OMFG... that cheating crap is THE most over blown spun out of proportion story in the last 100 years...

Can you just let it go.. It really does not take a genius to figure out that the media blew this up as big as they could get it for ratings.. and shaded the truth about how tape is used in the NFl and the rules..

They had former players trying to invent impossible ways to use tape that they ESPN and the other news outlets that followed knew was not feasible..

Personally if I owned the pats or if I was belichick I would look into suing for slander.

this story is Much like how the liberal media blows republican F-ups out of proportion and covers up democratic ones.

The hate for the patriots has been strong for a few years now in the national sports media, The fact is Boston has won to much and people are sick of it, so when the spygate thing came out it was blown so far out of proportion that people were out right lied to by the media.

they know it's impossible to use the tape in the same game, the signals are to complex and are changed to often, plus there is not enough time to get them ready for the coaching staff since it has to be a football knowledgeable coach to break it down, and those personal are busy during a game doing something else..

The matt walsh interview proved me right in how the tapes were used.. I am still waiting for my job on ESPN since I obviously know so much more than the current sellout whores in the media.

The rush to bash this team and Bill Belichick who nobody in the media likes led them to ignore reason and facts and deliberately mislead people... If that is not illegal it should be, they should be sued..

They knew about reports of this videotaping since the 80's at least.. it was extremely commonplace and just about every team was doing it, and it was pretty much allowed for 20 + years since it's a foolish rule to begin with.

Was that reported..

NO

Why was it not reported in the mainstream media that this activity went on for years.. Why was it spun to look like only the patriots and BB were doing it..

I understand why you and some others want to hold onto that, it must somehow justify the losses to the pats in 2003 and 2004 in the playoffs..

But in reality in 2003 and 2004 the patriots were a superior team.

that game was not a blow out.. pats were ahead late and the dolphins finally pulled ahead on a ball brady threw from sitting on his ass and was picked.. it was a stupid throw and he should have never threw it..

thats the game in 2004

You might be talking about the 2006 game that was 21-0 I think.. that was the game where the pats could not get anything going..
.

I will say I never seen the O-line look that bad again until the superbowl on feb 3rd

You are right the dolphins always played them tough until last season, they got murdered last season.

Yea, the dolphins of last year were by far the worst ever.

I was talking about the '04 game. I know the score didn't reflect a blow-out, but if I remember correctly, they picked off 4 Brady passes total. That may not count for a blow-out, but it's a pretty dominating defensive performance.
