engine start to shake after t5 swap, wrong flywheel ?

I just wanted to ask all the people who suggested anything other than the pilot bearing, WTF were you all thinking?

No need for that kind of attitude, my friend. The words "vibration" and "shaking" mean different things to different people, and to some they mean the same thing. The original poster was not sure if he had installed everything right, so all the non-pilot bearing posts were actually on topic. Just running through the overall checklist to make sure nothing else was wrong.

You could have used this as an opportunity to explain the difference between "vibration" and "shaking", instead you chose to criticize and ridicule other StangNet members for trying to help. Definitely not the overall StangNet helpful experience I've seen here since I joined years ago.

Engine shake can be caused by many things, something else could have been installed wrong or it could have been something else that failed, such as an engine miss. In the end, the point really is that the problem was found. :SNSign:

You are correct, however, the guy clearly stated that "he did NOT install the pilot bearing". He pretty much answered his own question right there. I don't ever mind helping people out. Do a search for my posts and you'll see that. I never meant to be insulting, it was actually a playful, sarcastic statement really.

You know, I read the initial post several times and never saw that particular line. So I will give you plenty of credit for missing what we all did. As for the misunderstanding, emoticons help a lot with that.   :p   No worries, we're all good.   :nice:

Ask and thou shalt recieve....

I've forgot to translate pilot bearing form other car (must to this now) but i dont think that could have connection with this vibrate.

Since automatic cars do NOT have a pilot bearing, and he installed the tranny without a pilot bearing, there was way too much play in the input shaft, which caused the disk to spin out of alignment. I'm sure this caused one hellova shake.. :nice:
