I read that you can't use underdrive pullies if you have a supercharger. What is the reason behind this? I was going to get a set of steeda pullies but if they are useless down the road when I get a KB then I don't know if I should waste the money. Does that mean I should hold onto my stock pieces if I get the kit or will a KB system end up replacing those pullies?

The reason you cant use underdrives is because of the crank pulley, not so much the other pulleys. Underdrives due just as the name implies they underdrive you accessorys. So if you get a KB or any kind of centri you wont be spinning it as fast so you wont make as much boost and therefore not as much power.

One kit I notice you may get away with using the Steeda pulleys with is the Tork Tech.

The kit utilizes an independent lower pulley for the blower (much like the '03-'04 Cobra), which may allow you to run the U/D pulley in place of the stocker and bolt the new lower pulley to it....much like the OHV supercharger kits do it for the Fox body cars.

But, if you’re set on the KB, then I’m afraid you’re stuck with the stock crank pulley.

If you use an 8-rib drive system, it won't matter.

Why would you think that?

Lol your explanation is EXACTLY why I would think that. If you're using a separate drive system for the supercharger, it doesn't matter what speed the accessory pulleys are spinning. Remember, I'm the guy with the Tork Tech :-D

Yes, I know you are....but he's talking about a Kenne Bell. Their system still utilizes a uni-belt drive. The way you made it sound was that all "he" needed to do was upgrade to an 8-rib and his problem would be solved, which in fact isn't true. He would need to upgrade to a Tork Tech. :D

Did you ever get that thing to the dyno to see what it makes BTW?

Not yet, unfortunately. I have a bad exhaust leak because I think I broke the EGR tube while installing the supercharger. As a result, all of my long term fuel trims are very rich. The car still runs pretty well, but I can see a cloud of black smoke behind me when I get on it. It's probably running at around 9:1 AFR lol.

Edit: To keep this thread somewhat on track, I would imagine you could use the other underdrive pulleys with the kit, but no the crank pulley. Still, I'm not sure I would want my water pump underdriven with boost...
