So CAL
hey whats up everyone, i just got my 08 gt about a month ago and i was planning on installing a black billet grill and some how mounting the fogs behind it. Does anyone know how to do this? or has anyone done this already? Help....?

BTW my car is white and i am planning on getting black rims for it so the grill should look saaaweet with a white car....

I've never seen it done either. I think you're gonna have to get creative and make your own brackets to hold them in place. It shouldn't be too hard. Post some pics if you get it done; I'm curious.

I'm in the process of trying to figure this out myself.

You'll find once you get the grill (insert or not) you'll run into the same problem i've run into. The stock fogs are too deep and require that you fabricate a couple special brackets to hold them in place and straight. I've spoken with the guy at Galpin Auto Sports that created the blue boss replica and he told me that you have to cut some pieces on the car to make it fit right along with making some custom brackets. I wish I was better at fabricating stuff like that, it's really the only thing holding me back.

Oh, and don't bother with the v6 foglight package either, i've confirmed it with another member here on this board that they are even deeper than the GT fogs.

If you figure it out, post it up.

Edit: just saw that you're in SoCal, the dudes name is Andy or Aaron (can't remember) you should go hit him up and see what he did.

ok cool, ill figure something out when the grill gets here. ill see what i come up with and post some pics of the process.

i just took a look at the blue boss. does anyone know if the black color on the hood is paint or decal? and if it is a decal where can i get that?.

Replied to your PM, vtec.
A buddy of mine did this and looks really great! He said he used the Shelby grille and surround, moved the horn and extended the fog wiring harnesses and they squeeze behind there.

Do you have to have stock fogs? Since I installed the Bullitt grill I have thought about getting some after-market fogs, something smaller than stock, and putting them behind the grill and tapping into the stock wiring.

He has the stock fogs, but I have no idea what else would fit behind there???

You have any trouble with curbs in parking lots?

With the Nitto 255/45 up front, I couldn't clear any parking curbs. A few times, I'd pull too far forward, get out and see that I'd pushed the spoiler back a little bit:eek: Being that it wasn't painted, I never had to worry about paint chipping off and the scrape marks weren't that noticeable from several feet away:nice:

soo after many days i finally did it....it was way more complicated than i thought but it worked. here are some completed pictures
