In Michigan, 4 people ended up dead last night when a drunk driver changed lanes, hit curb, flipped over into the teengers Cobalt. The teens were stopped in a turn around when the light was red. They were sitting ducks.

The radio said that there are more DWI/OWI on St. Patricks Day than on New Years Eve.

That sucks... Its sad, but you can count on things like that happening every holiday, and even in between.

The pub we're going to is walking distance from her apartment... So all I really have to worry about is public intox. The 'Stang and the Fusion won't be seeing any action (not that I would drink and drive if the pub were further away).

Yeah I plan to drive the 6 miles to and from my parents house tonight and thats that. Not to mention that will be at 6:00 and then maybe 8:30-9:00 latest. No excuse for drunk driving!

Being within walking distance doesn't make you immune to drunken drivers. Pedestrians get mowed down on sidewalks and roadsides all the time, all year 'round. Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel. But nevertheless, have fun.
