I was on my way home from work today and was pulled over for modified exhaust / loud exhaust noise by a Florida Highway Patrol officer of all things. he looked to be straight out of the academy. I was on Ben Hill doing about 45 -50 in 5th gear (low rpms) raining, there is no way he heard my exhaust and I was not reving or racing in any way. Well it's a $94 ticket and now I'm sure my car will be marked any time I'm pulled over, which is not very often i might add. last ticket was in 1998. according to him in the state of Florida it is UN lawful to operate a vehicle with ANY kind of exhaust modification other then factory. sorry for the long post. I was just wondering if any of you guys (or girls) have gone through this. I know I just put the SLP II cat back on but I swear it is not as loud as the 2 chamber flo's I had on for the last 7 YEARS and never got pulled over for it. the only good thing that came out of it was it was raining and he did not have a poncho on so I was sure to ask (very politely) plenty of questions about the statute so I had a clear understanding of the law, as he explained and got soaked

) Most of the cops around seem to enjoy or admire muscle cars, but they'll pull over any *** car with one of those fart cans. Maybe he just realized how small his man parts are, and had to pull somebody over who clearly is far more empowered then himself. Obviously in that case, anybody who would drive one of those little Honda go-carts isn't the target.

I had the same thing happen to me. I was standing about 10ft. behind my Mach and I was actually startled how loud it was. I'm the only one that ever drives it besides the one time I had it at the dealer.
