Hood Strut Kits

I've seen 2 different kits for our hoods. The SHR style, which uses the factory holes and the Redline style that you have to drill mounting holes.

My question is which one works best? I like the SHR, but I'm worried about the stress put on the hood by the strut mounting position so close to the hinges, and bending my hood.
The Redline appears to spread out the mounting positions, but I really do not want to drill holes in the fender area.

Anyone have any issues with either kit?

I have the SHR struts that use the factory holes and love them. Havent had any problem with the hood bending and all.

There is no drilling with the CDC struts.

I have the Redline Stainless struts. I love them. The mounting was very easy.
I don't understand the big worry about drilling a couple of small holes. Look at the holes Ford drilled all over the car.

Just a personal preference at this time.
