VHT Chassis black Engine compartment

I'm trying it for the first time... I usally use por15 for resto but the VHT has uv protection and anti rust and oh yeah it comes in a spray can...V/C

i like krylon appliance epoxy... the more coats you apply, the deeper the shine you get. one coat over primer is semi gloss, two is a nice almost shine, and three coats gets you a nice shine that cleans up super easy, unlike most chassis black paints.

Where do you find the krylon appliance epoxy? I've never seen it a store before

How does this stuff hold up to heat? Just wasnt sure about a rattle can type paint for something faily perminate.

The VHT is rated @250 deg. For the chassis/rollbar epoxy self priming paint $6/can ...Ive sprayed out a few coats and its starting to look like a powder coat finish, I like the gloss finish better also....Looks good so far...The real test will be in a week after the paint cures,then i'll do a scratch test.....

Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy, and its definately very nice almost powder coated finish and very durable.

I did my master cilinder, spilled brake fluid on the paint and it held up very nice.

The VHT sanded pretty well today for being 3 days old...hard not gummy. I decided to clean the extra seam sealer left from the factory on the firewall ....Rustoleum make good stuff I use there poly spray all the time...The VHT was there on the autozone shelf hmmmm this stuff looks pretty cool....good call so far

the krylon, which dries faster than crustoleum, is sold at k mart, home depot, most of the big box stores...as far as durablity. it has held up for three years under my hood, and as i have a 351 in my car with headers, the shock towers get pretty hot, with no signs of blistering...
