here in Oh when you take it to the Salvage Yard they ask for the title and then give you $135/ton. Call If you were in Oh I would come get it from you for free. It shouldn't be hard. Just put it on CL and go from there. someone will come get it. then just sign off on the title and hand it to them.

It amazes me when they want to charge you to pick something up so they can then get the money for scrap. You are in CA, that might have something to do with it, as it will have to be "recycled". It reminds me of the other day before I took the AC off my car, it had a full charge of over 2lbs of freon. Well the shop I work in does not have a R12 machine, and I didn't want to see it go to waste and this stuff is $100 per pound and is not made any more, hard to find. I call around and nobody has the machine, finally found a shop that did, and they told me they were going to charge me 30 to pull it out, and I said "I don't want to recharge it, just tought I would give it to you" and he said "well I have to charge you for the recovery". So I said to him, "you are kidding me, it's like charging someone to dispose of gold". I mean really, someone wants to give you something you $200 worth of product but no, that's not enough money, they need to make MORE money. That might be what is wrong with this country, people either want to make the big bucks or nothing at all.
