Any rough estimates on this 1/4 mile time?

i took my notch out tonight for lots of spirited driving. it hooks up now with my 18's so i tried some real weak launches (still street tires), ect. anyways, we ended up doing some times with stop watch from stop to 120.

i only ran it up to 120 twice. first was 11.6x seconds, second time was 11.47 seconds from a dead stop. any idea how that could possibly translate into rough et's?

the mph is verified by gps at several different speeds. either way, on video im super impressed with the acceleration considering its only got 300 rwhp :D

just realized i made one of "those" threads. i tried to get some good test results behind my question. i will for sure be hitting the track this year. i'm just curious about how my car should run et wise now.

i have finally started ordering my new longblock setup.. so ill only get limited action on this current power level before i am looking for much quicker times. i want to get good before/after results :nice:

something is way off cause 0-120 in 11.xx secs is 400 hp range with bad traction. with 300 hp you should be 12.4-12.8 with good traction as long as your car isn't a porker. also look for the 108 to 111 mph range

i dyno'd 29x rwhp on a stingy ass dyno prior to switching inlet tube and intake. so i assume im at/just over 300 rwhp on his dyno now. he said a dyno jet would yield like 330ish+ rwhp from his experience. it might be close to 400 flywheel if you really stretch it.

i had horrible launches. either some spinning or bogging on each.

car with me, should weigh at most 3000 lb.

never know till you take it to the track, Ive known a bunch of people that thought for sure their car ran 12s or bike ran 10s. Finally get them out to the track and the car guys barly run 13s and bikes barly run 11s. haha

I'm saying 13 flat.I bet the car weight's about 3300. With big and littles my racing seat i have for it and more gutted then it is now you have it ,it weighted 2650.And i'll say a 2.xxx 60' peace

well i will need 05+ mustang specific wheels now to run any kind of sticky tire. i doubt ill have the desire to spend the money on rims and tires required. especially as frequently as i plan to go...

might be easiest to buy some 555r's and try to get both aspects from my driver tires.

Haha I like the inflation. My 450 to the wheels must be more like 600 at the crank....70 horsepower drivetrain loss? That's stretchin!

thanks for your input. i should be going atleast once on street tires to get an idea/feel of how it runs down the quarter.

i changed my transmission fluid out last week. when i took it out with bad intentions shifting, it feels SO much better to me. i can shift alot harder/smoother now. im not a great driver, but i think im a decent driver. im just tryin to work out launching.

ill be there at some point this summer.
