Lots of threads about power windows not working, but each situation seems to be unique.

My biggest problem is that I let my wife drive my car today -- now the windows don't work! Ha! It's a 1995 Cobra convertible.

None of the 4 driver's side window buttons work. The passenger side button DOES work fine, so the passenger side window/motor are fine. But the passenger window button on the driver's side does NOT make the passenger window go down. I removed the driver's side door panel and I can hear the motor click when I press the window button. The fuses are ok.

My wife *did* say that the driver's door panel got pretty wet last night in a rainstorm (apparantly a molding was not sitting right, so water leaked onto the buttons). The door lock button works though.

So in summary, none of the four driver's buttons work, but the passenger side button and window work fine.

Any ideas?? ...besides not letting chicks in the car anymore? Ha!

Totally disassembled the switch and cleaned it all out with contact cleaner. Reinstalled, but no luck! :(

Noticed, though, that the window lock button works (because it will or won't let me use the passenger side switch. So it's just the 4 window switches that aren't working.

But I'm sure it's not the motors... because the passenger door switch/motor works fine (from the passenger side).

Could it be a ground issue? Maybe the 4 driver's side window switches ground altogether somewhere??

I have a problem with my passenger side window sometimes when using the drivers switch. I have to use the passenger switch then the drivers switch works. I think the passenger side switch-contacts get stuck.

Check the plug that goes into the switches. Maybe it got corroded from the rain. Other then that I would get a new switch panel. I don't know of any fuses that would let 1 motor work and not the other and I wouldn't see why the switch would be grounded. Should just be power in and power out when contact is made but I am not a electrician nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn lastnight.
