Wow, this gives me hope for my little single setup. TWENTY TWO pounds of boost?? Care to elaborate on the rest of the combo?

Yup 22lbs, been working with him and the guy that made the turbo kit on this car learning how to get the motor to survive long term at that level. The guy who made the kit went 30,000 miles at that same boost level with the same engine setup other than stock cams. Here is a thread with some of the details of this car, it is going at least 1/2 a second faster since swapping from the 5 speed to an auto:

3600 LBS!?!?!?! that things a tank!!!!! thats really movin' out!!!

Yeah its totally full weight still, whatever was lost with the K member was gained back with the turbo and all the piping.

I am surprised a bit to be honest, I never thought you could get the plastic intake manifold into the 9s. I am asking around and it appears this might be the fastest run done yet on the plastic intake manifold. We talked a bit about swapping to an Eddy intake but he wants to get in a 9 second run on the plastic first.

Still with fullsize battery up front? Why?

Other than motor/turbo, tranny work, k member, rear lower control arms, fuel system, tune and drag radials on Weld wheels the rest of the car is still stock. Full stock interior, full weight everything else (its 3610lbs with driver), AC still blows ice cold, and it still gets 23MPG on the highway. A lightweight race chassis version of this powertrain we would probably be talking about the stock plastic 2V intake getting near the 8s rather than the 9s. This car even still has the iron block.

Next time you look under the hood of a 2V, be aware that nearly stock looking versions are 9 second potential:

And I'm pretty sure I see a fuse on a power wire that looks just like the wire going to my 2 subs in my car. Got an aftermarket sound system?

I love cars like yours. Very stealthy, very streetable, you look under the hood and never know that it's a 9 second car. Two thumbs up for a car very well done. :nice:
