Doing the front pads and rotors on my Cobra, new pads don't have the clips?

Is it OK to run these new pads even though they don't have the retainer clips? I just pulled them out of the box and noticed they are smooth. What is the deal with this?

You might have to reuse the set you already have on the car. Or, a parts store should have them.

The circular clips that are attached to the pads. They gave me the wrongs pads, trying to figure out if I need the shims or not that came with these pads.

whats the brand and part number pad set you got. A lot of parts people miss the difference between cobra and GT pads.

They were Brake Best C804 pads. They were way off, ended up getting these instead:

They weren't identical, but they fit so I assume they will be alright. Actually does it matter how I put them on? Not sure if one is an "inside" or "outside" pad, I just put the same pads on the same side.
