Ok my buddy at work has a CLEAN 84 LX that looks NEW, it's lowered, single flowmaster, and koni's. Well he hasnt even fired it up since 98' and has been stored in his garage with a car cover...this car is very clean and was well maintained! it should fire up im just going to rebuild the carb before I try her out. we both have no idea what it is worth and he said "what about 1,500" so I agreed because of how clean it is. is it a good deal? I will try to post pics a little later.

If its clean den hell yea!! I paid 650 for mines and its rusted, but that's only because the engine only had 107,002 on it. Same situation as urs except it sat outside and uncovered so it kinda rusted some, but I figure hey it runs and I plan on a long restoration anyways

Dude, that's a nice car. if the inside looks like the outside, I'd give 1500 for it right now if it was in driving distance.

If its as clean as you say it is then it's definitely worth 1500, and makes me think Nik will get a laugh out of it too

Haha yep. When I saw this thread, I thought, eh, it's probably a piece. Actually, that thing is ****ing mint!

Who is nik?

Me. Crane said that because I'm a 4-eye nut, and we like to give each other a hard time about that stuff. That car is worth way more than $1500. Nab that bitch!

Also, if I were you, if you plan on doing a mod swap, don't waste any more money on that engine than you need to get it running or you'll just be throwing away money. Save that coin for your mod swap. BTW, a carb conversion 4.6L 4V would be baaaaad in that car!

Also, just because that thing has sat for so long, you might consider draining the fuel out of the tank and clearing the lines, because that fuel might be bad. I'd also be worried about the condition of the cylinder walls. If it has been exposed to a lot of humidity (which can be trapped inside a car cover) it is possible (though probably unlikely) that corrosion has developed on the cylinder walls. Most you can do is pull the cylinder heads and check, least you can do is fog the cylinders with fogging oil before startup.

Thank you nik 4v carb...sounds like a plan I think! I like the car, always wanted a fox, I preffered a notch but after looking at this one I was hooked! I am only going to do what it takes to get it running, the mod motor will be the direction im going in and its probably going to be a 4v 5.0L with a carb ;) keep your eyes peeled for this car.
