Canadian NFL Team?

Hmm, there are a few franchises that I could see moving to a new city, but New Orleans isn't 1 that I'd think would be on that list. Then again, Modell did take the Browns v1 to Baltimore and there wasn't a lack of support from either the fans or the city. If the Browns could move like that, then just about any team could move. About the only team that wouldn't happen with is the Green Bay Packers, since they are the only team that is actually owned by the local community.

lol, that was quick. I dont see any NFL team moving to Canada. Nothing against Canada, but NFL is an American sport and I dont see any owner willing to do that and why they would want to. Plus, Canada has the CFL. :)

You may see it that way, but there is a huge following for the NFL up here. One of the major television networks (CTV) and the Canadian equivalent of ESPN (TSN) broadcast games here, and not to mention the NFL has its own website for Canadians. On the flip side, I've ran into Americans that didn't even know the CFL existed, and last time I posted something about the Grey Cup (CFL equivalent to the Super Bowl) on here, someone thought I was talking about a high school football team.

Put it this way, every other North American major sports league has at least one Canadian team in it. Heck, even NASCAR Nationwide has a Canadian track in its season now, (not to mention CASCAR became a part of NASCAR and is now known as the NASCAR Canadian Tire series), so maybe having a Canadian NFL team is natural in a way.

Edit: I also remember there was a time the CFL had American teams in it back in the '90s.
