Official 2011/2012 College Football thread

So we've lost our starting QB and one of our top receivers. What a way to start the season.

Hmmm, my guess would be that you're an LSU fan.......Shame on them boys:nono::rlaugh::lol::rlaugh::lol: Does suck for the fans though, looking at all the games the first week you guys do have the toughest one and them are some odds that you will be but against now missing a couple great players while opening against oregon, have fun, enjoy the game....I can't wait for this weekend for some real football to start up (BTW Lions 3-0, yeah baby[just hope it isn't a redo of the 2008 season])

I sure can't say that. GO GATORS! I'll be sure to give you the chomp if I see a red 2012GT with some form of bama stuff on it while I'm in PC this weekend!

I'll actually be out of town this weekend, gotta go visit the inlaws....Only bama i got on my car is the rear license plate holder. I haven't found the right Big Al decal for the back window yet, actually I'm kind of afraid to do that don't want some irrate bama hater to shatter my windows. Going to be an interesting college season, I would love to see the bulldogs stomp a mudhole in Boise the first game, but I kind of don't see that happening, always wishful thinking though

:nonono:

Agreed! Now I'm going to have to hate on your team for a minute  I wish they would actually challenge Boise State so they can actually play a decent team, all this playing the sorriest teams in the SEC is getting kind of old know, last time VA this time GA, for god sake play a team worth bragging rights instead of are washouts..... Sorry :( had to to there, it just frustrates me :nonono: Not saying there not a good team, but I do feel they're way over rated

I here ya, I wish they could schedule better teams also.

Hell of a game tonight though!

WVU/Marshall game was called due to weather for the first time in 20 years

NASTY weather came through here last night. They suspended the game, then not even 10-15 minutes later the sky opened up and there was hail bouncing off my truck that honestly looked like jacks, except bigger  I think my car came out OK, I sorta looked at it last night and didn't see any new dings, God I hope not.

Agreed, that was a good game you guys played. I was back and forth between that game and the LSU vs Oregon game. By far the best two games of the day. Watching my team play they about put me to sleep, I hate watching the 1st game blowouts. Any other decent team in college FB would of blew the doors off bama with that performance, hopefully they get it together.

My Mississippi Bulldogs are playing good ball. Even though, Memphis is not a good measuring stick. The fact that they can even score 59 on any team is a plus.

What's up with the PAC-12? I was looking for LSU to lose!

Bama should have things cleaned up for the Penn St game.

The LSU game should be pretty interesting!

I don't think bama going to be cleaned up all the way until after penn state because they still haven't picked there QB yet. Until they do that they're going to be sketchy, I believe they're picking after the Penn state game. Ain't got much time they creeping on an intense game (not that Penn State is bad, but Bama should walk right over them). They have some good teams this year, heck the Seminoles ain't had a line up like they have now in years, so I'm hoping to see something out of them.

Oh yeah, once again, the Tide Rolls on.....Had some good games this weekend, and yes Bama did some decent clean up, 27-11, can't complain....Lot better than their first game, and it was a good game. Penn State kept it together until the 4th quarter then they slacked off, other than that very good game. One of the best games this weekend, besides S carolina vs Georgia....I was pulling for Georgia but they didn't have it in them. Can't forget my 2d team from the Big 10, GO BLUE! one heck of a come back in the 4th....Yes I know ppl say you only have one college team, not I. I have to have 2, I'm from Mi, the wife is from Alabama so I stay with both teams, it won't be a problem until next year when the two teams meet for the first time in college history.

Good to see another Tide fan out there.:nice:

Yep, I'm just waiting for them to "officially" pick there starting QB. With the way they came out on Penn State, having McCarron play the entire game, instead of 50/50 in it with him and Sims, I think he is the favored one of the two. After the first game with all the interceptions Sim threw, he better come out strong during practice or the next game because I think McCarron is going to pull it off and get the starting spot. So tell me this, if anyone caught this game, by far one of the dirtiest but yet funniest plays Bama pulled off in a long time.... So McCarron goes to pass it and one of the defenders get there hands on the ball and tips it up in the air, after the tip he goes to catch it for the interception and McCarron grabs him by the shoulder pads and yanks him back so he couldn't get the interception, little dirty but hey  we kept possession, and heck that's the way to enter your next stage....He's a little rough right now, but with a little work he's going to be an awesome college QB :nice:
