Build Thread "Rising from Ashes" 94 Cobra build thread

Got some more work done on 94 Mustang project...
Coupler came in and was able to get the discharge mounted.

I found an oem fox throttle cable and got it detailed to match.

I finished restoring the Recaro seat plastics.
Here was my start.

After plastic welding, sanding, and some flexible primer for plastics.

I then sanded everything smooth to fill any remaining imperfections.
Then used a texture paint to recreate the grain in the pieces.

Then applied a factory match to my 94's black interior. The grain match is pretty good.

All the pieces done. I was really happy that I was able to keep the factory Recaro stickers through all the welding, sanding and primer.

This was a time consuming process, but worth it in the end.

My 8 month hunt for recline knobs for these seats had finally ended. Which is what actually inspired me to finish the rest of the covers this week. The only foam that I need to replace is the lower bolsters. I have decided to try to make the new jackets myself. I 'm probably going to go with black leather on the outside portion of the seat and suede on the center section. I'm going to use the old covers as a pattern. I have covered dozens of seats over the years but never tried to make my own. It may be a disaster...we will see?

I assure you good sir, the seats will not be a disaster. Anything you take on/fabricate turns to effing gold
Thanks man!

I decided to sell my 42 lb injectors and 90mm meter in exchange for some 60 lb injectors and an sct meter. I also got a power pipe so I can check one more thing off the list.

what shape is the actual car in now?
The car is still on a cart completely stripped to the shell. Every piece that will come off...is and some that are not meant to come on are off as well. I am still in the body work phase.

Thanks man...Glad to see you back in my thread.

I was off all the Mustang threads for awhile once I hit a dead end realizing I was not going to get mine on the road this year even though I got as far as getting the engine re assembled and the powder coated stuff looks amazing! Now I'm getting an itch to finish off all the parts I need to get and to get it running this spring. So here I am again and its nice to see that your thread is still doing well and progress is being made

Thanks man! and glad the powder coated stuff worked out for you. You will still have yours running before me.

I am not using the rubber 90 that came with the power pipe so I replaced it with the metal pipe and welded a 2" tube to connect to my mondo bypass and then powdercoated it black to blend it in.
