Strange 10-way vs. Tokico D-spec

I'd like to get some input on these adjustable shocks/struts.

I've decided that going with some adjustables would probably be the best setup for me. I don't do very much drag racing/autocross/etc and DD the car. I like the possibility of setting them to the softest settings to counteract the ty roads here, and then adjusting them towards the firmer settings if I ever decide to hit the strip.

From the little research I've done:

Strange - PROS
-10 easly adjustable settings
-great price

Strange - CONS
-hearing a lot of people complaining that their struts re very noisy

Tokico - PROS
-great responsiveness from all settings

Tokico - CONS
-some people have complained about adjustment difficulty
-price

I've got Tokico D-Specs on my '03 GT. They're a nice shock overall...I like the adjustability for sure. I don't know what the "adjustment difficulty" could be all about, maybe if you leave the trunk as-is for the rear shocks? That would just be an accessibility issue...what I did was cut out a little hole in the trunk liner where the tops of the shocks are, and I bought the remote adjusters for the rears. That way I don't have to rip the trunk liners out when I want to change the rear settings.

The fronts aren't a problem at all, obviously. They're right there when you open the hood.

But they're not hard to adjust...you just stick the key in the top of the shock/strut and twist.

+1 Had them on for about 500 miles, took them off and sold them on ebay. Lost about $150.. I've got a thread about them somewheres on here, when I was trying to figure out what I did wrong installing them... Put my stockers back on and it was back to quiet.

Just ordered some tockio blues from american muscle to put on this year, as my stockers are well worn out....

DAMN! That's a hell of a lot worse than what I was imagining. There's no way I'd be able to tolerate that.

Can you comment on differences between each setting? In other words, how do they feel on a softer setting as compared to a firmer setting? Are the differences drastic or hardly noticeable?

Had a couple of people tell me they couldn't get the Strange struts to work with CC plates.

I have the dspecs. They are extremely easy to adjust. Id just just buying a set of the remote adjusters and cut a little Hoke in your trunk liner. The settings are not finite, you just spin a screw in the top of the shock. The full hard creates a lot of understeer
And full soft rides like a bouncy Cadillac. Your best bet is to play with the settings to find what you like.
