Night Shifter's engine bay clean up and make pretty thread

the foam insulation under the hood? yes. definitely has seen better days. thinking about just hitting it up with some tire shine to make it look black/clean again

nice clean job btw. i just got in from attending to my engine bay too.

nice fr500's too! (been a while since ive logged on). (new hood and chin spoiler too?)

Thanks...did you do a tuck as well?

Not sure how long its been since youve been on here but the hood has been on the car for about 2 1/2ish years now...the spoiler is the factory one scooted back 2".. the rims i bought off 98cobra281 last year and they were silver..got a wild hair up my butt 2 weeks ago and decided they need some color...

The new color and the coilovers make it a totally different car...ive been getting a lot of good feedback and didnt think anyone would really notice/care but they seem to be a hit....i snapped a few pics today for some people that have asked and plan on starting a thread about them in the next day or so, so keep a lookout

Im lacking a computer right now and i barely get time for myself so its hard for me to get chit done right now...i

have to go to the parents house when i need computer access lol...good thing is they live 2 miles away so its not that big of a deal lol

As far as the cleanup goes...ill be posting up a few pics in a day or two of the new progress and ill be prepping for paint this week...hopefully this weekend ill get it painted..

Anyone know if the braille race batteries can be mounted sideways? Or do they have to be at a normal position?

Can anyone give me some tips on battery relocation or have a writeup?

My main question is when i relocate the battery to the trunk does that eliminate the ground that comes from the engine block to the battery? When i ground the battery to the framerail in the rear thats all i need to do right?

Once the battery is in the trunk the engine bay will be painted and finished

Thanks kornnut..

So i think have figured out the ground wiring for the relocation...run the ground from the batter to my quad shock mount, then run the engine block ground to the frame of the car that the radiator sits on..

If i am incorrect about this please let me know

Kornnut, so far everything is extremely simple..the passenger side was easiest since it can be rerouted into the fender without and cuttin or lengthening of wires..

Pretty much the same thing for the drivers side depending on the placement of the fuse box..since im keeping mine in the engine bay, iwont have to lengthen anything, but if i were to be placing it in the fender then the alt wire, and a couple other wires would need lengthened..

However, without cutting wires you have to get creative with the harness as to how to get it in the fender which i will cover soon...for the average peroson, the way im doing it, itll prolly only take a couple days...but my job fuks me so i only get a day a month to even loom at the damn car

Just the liner...im trying to cut as many corners as possible lol.....but its working so far :nice:

Battery is now gone

Defintely going to get the hood latch cable hidden asap...bugs the hell out of ne that its there....

Never realized how dirty it was in there

you will notice it runs from the inner fender to the engine bay then around the core support to the latch :bang: i just ran mine all the way thru the inner fender well and out infront of the core support! works perfect!

Did you attach the cable to anything when tou re routed it or is it just haning in the fender well...i ask because the cable is held on by clips that are pushed into holes in the engine bay and am unsure if i need to have it clipped in when i put it in the fender
