95 Brake Booster Install In Fox

I purchased a complete kit from Hydratech Braking Systems. It's a bolt-in installation. The only other thing I need is some AN adapter fittings off my steering rack. They supply all the lines and hardware. Not cheap by any means, but I know it will work and I have their tech support available for questions/support. The unit itself is very small compared to a vacuum booster. It also eliminates the stock prop valve.

I may have to look into that. I loath the idea of having to shoe-horn a booster into the 86. What provied the assist in the hydroboost? Is there an additional pump?

No, works in conjunction with your stock power steering system. They provide lines for everything to work. It creates somewhat of a loop system between the pump, hydroboost unit, and steering rack. Prepare to shell out about $800 for the full kit though. It's probably a lot cheaper to source together a system from a new edge stang, but that requires brake pedal linkage modifications, which didn't look like fun. The hydratech setup is designed specifically for the foxbody.

Well let me know what your braking power and pedal feell ends up like. It looks like that type of system would solve some problems for me, that I've been scratching my head about.

Oh... and PM me a link to the place that you got it when you get the chance. :nice:
