180 Deg T-stat W/ Stock Fan Settings 95 Gt?

So what happens if I switch to a 180 deg t-stat in the 95 and don't change the fan settings? The car has an sct chip but I don't have anyway to change the settings, no hand held tuner.

Nothing much. If the T-stat is currently a 190* the coolant will start to flow sooner through the rad. Depending on ambient air temps the engine will heat up to it's usual temp.

As the others have said, pretty much nothing. The engine will just take a bit longer to reach its operating temp. 'cause the t'stat will open earlier but the fan on/off temps. will be the same. As long as the fan off temp. is higher than the t'stat opening temp., you're OK.

So the point it moot and just leave the stock thermostat in?

If you live in a cooler climate where the engine will take longer to warm up, yes. If you live in a big oven as I do, the engine will warm up quickly enough anyway even with a 180* t'stat.
In countries that have a perennially warm climate, you could even run the engine without a t'stat and see no adverse effects.
